Does Paleto Bay need a runway?

The reason I say this is because all the other towns have runways,airports,landing strips,airfields and Paleto Bay is the only one that doesn't!

 

It could go along the beach just before the pier i mean it would be long enough

And also there are plenty of airport landing strips on beaches like:

Barra airport Scotland

 

 

 

 

And Southport landing strip UK (during southport airshow)

Yeah, but only something small. Smaller than in Sandy Shores, for small propeller-airplanes. Because it would look gross to have a full-size SandyShores-airfield in the middle of Paleto Bay^^

I half agree with that. It would attract people that are too lazy to make an effort to get there, and that's the kind of person I go there to avoid. But, I would like to be able to get a plane when I'm already there, so for that reason I say yes.

Only n00bs need a runway. Easy to land any plane on the main highway, except the 747. Beach is acceptable though.

Well, you know you can call a helicopter up and it spawns behind Paleto PD's building, right? That's really all you need. I mean, if you just want a plane because it's faster, that's understandable, but a helicopter to fly me down to LS is all I need. If I need a plane, Sandy Shores is only a couple minutes away by chopper.

At most it should be possible to spawn airplanes in Paleto Bay. The beach is fine as a makeshift runway.

Flying to Grapeseed or Sandy Shores is kind of pointless if you want a plane, as by then you're already close enough to just fly the last bit with the helicopter you're already in.

they could have added even more little airfields, wouldnt be soooo much effort. i bet i could do one in a day... hell, it would only take an hour to make the strip and a little house and or tower. when i think about it, ROCKSTAR became VERY LAZY with the map since SAN ANDREAS. i still hope for some additons for nextgen. lazy basterds!

Problem with that logic is planes like the titan and miljet would have trouble taking off from the beach depending on where they fit it. If they set a spawn for smaller planes like say the Duster, I'd be interested.

Sure you could do that, but I'd personally be happier if I could walk out of my house, cross the road and get in my Besra, on the beach. Is it a big deal to have to drive down the road to take whatever helicopter is spawned there, to then fly to Sandy Shores or Grapeseed to get my plane? Not really. Is it a big deal to have a runway on the beach? Not really.

 

It's just my preference.

That's only half of it though. This is always what happens when this topic is brought up - people say "but you *can* land there". We want a runway so we can call planes while we're there.

There needs to be a Pegasus spawn point on the beach for aircraft. If that was implemented I would move back there (flying a heli back to LS every time I entered a session was too time consuming).

the point furry is trying to make here is not the INBOUND flight that is the issue. It's the lack of starting points to get an OUTBOUND flight from Paleto to another place. Even a pegasus spawn point on the beach would work and would require very little to implement. I personally dont mind there being no runway option but if it was put into motion I could see me using it. Maybe even a lot.

The main problem here isn't in that you can't land without a runway. Its about calling Pegasus for your Besra and have it in the nearby beach.

It's not really that necessary at all. If you drive down to the Police station after spawning, a helicopter will spawn without fail. Just fly to Grapeseed or SS Airfield. It takes no time at all, and keeps the miscreants who won't make the effort of travelling down at Eclipse Towers where they belong.
