GTAV vs GTAO

Why is everything so much more expensive in online vs storymode? 5k for grenade launcher ammo vs 500$ in story mode. Why is it that we get cheap looking clothes or not enough clothes we want clothes that franklin has and we dont get earrings face bandanas and everything overall is way to expensive one mission pays out ammo for one gun or one modification for your car

its so you wouldnt just have everything right off the bat

but with how rockstar designed job payouts, it feels like its catered to increasing cash card sales

It is. Much cheaper. Hospital bills are cheaper too.

Also payments are increased online, I'm pretty sure you only get $300 for robbing a store in SP.

Overall though, most things are so much more expensive it's almost impossible to not come to this conclusion:

cash cards

I'm glad everything is expensive. Makes people work for things.

The game would be boring if everything was so cheap. The Z Type should be how it is in SP, but it isn't.

This, should of have been obvious the moment they got introduced.

Still waiting for people saying it's not because of the intention of selling Cash Card.

It's not because of the intention of selling Cash Card.

It's so that there's a gap between the poor scum of LS and people like myself and many other forumites, the wealthy and carefree high-flyers.

It's so that poor people have to think twice about what weapon to use, or how much ammo they're using, where I can stand a block away, firing RPGs as if they're free, because the virtually are. You're gonna shoot my car with your pistol, Mr. Nomoney? Okay, have 5 sticky bombs. BAM! Oh what, you've respawned? Have 5 shots from my grenade launcher! MORE BAM! Lol - you still want some more, making my body armour deplete slightly with your pauper gun? Have a mugger, some mercs, a $9K bounty and then I'll be there with my RPG again. BAM BAM BAM BAM!

Get some money. Live the life.

Aside from cash cards and prices.

GTAO is overall a watered down version of GTAV.

Playing story mode again here are the things I noticed.

-There is more pedestrians offline.

-There are more trees and objects offline.

-There are animals offline.

-No animals also means, hunting is removed online.

-There are more game modes offline like scuba diving and marathons that's been cut online.

-There are properties where you can generate revenue.

-There are cut cars from offline, including the FIB and Police Buffalo.

-All nude NPCs in various areas, had been removed online.

And other small stuff that's missing or been cut from online.

I wish a lot of these were added online. Especially animals. It would be cool if we were able to own dogs or shoot up some coyotes in Blaine County.

I also feel like GTAO is lacking life. Maybe its because of load issues, but it feels like there's less active pedestrians compared to GTAV.

But that's just me.

I can see why lazy peeps or peeps who don't have time to play a lot would use cash cards, but things aren't expensive to buy in this game.

I like how the Lime Green paintjob is over $20,000+ in GTAO, while it's $500+ in GTAV.

It's outrageous. $1,000,000 would last you awhile in single player compared to online.

If the clothing were priced in real world terms then everybody would have every piece of clothing within the first 2 or 3 hours that they played the game don't you think?

That's a valid point, but not in terms of GTAO. I mean, in real life, would you accept a t-shirt as payment from a guy that just had you murder 20 people and steal a massive brick of cocaine for him? Maybe if he threw in a mask of a monkey with a cigar in its mouth?

It's not like it matters anyway. When you're poor you bitch you're poor, that Rockstar are money grubbing bastards, about glitchers. Then when you become rich your sit in your high end apartment drinking whiskey until you die of alcohol poisoning. Well, that's what I do in my apartment anyway.

Lmao, monkey mask seals the deal! All I'm saying is I'm a level 124 have made 8 million legit, have 2 high end apartments one that cost half a mil, all the clothes I want and 20 fully modified cars, a boat and an airplane albeit it's a Duster but an airplane none the less. Sure I don't have a buzzard or a tank, but I coulda had one by now, but I chose to spend my money elsewhere. I've also never been hurt up for ammunition. Maybe if people used sticky bombs, and Rpg rockets judiciously at $500 a piece they'd stop crying broke. I really don't find anything unfair when u can easily make $100,000 in an hour easily.

This.

As for ammo, they made them overpriced on purpose to stop the RPG spamming and such. Plus, not everything in SP is way cheaper than online.

SP - Tank - 3,000,000.

MP - Tank - 1,500,000.

SP - Z-Type - 10,000,000.

MP - Z-Type - 800k? 950k. Thank you Fearx~!

Should I go on?

The prices are high to ensure that money still has a use long-term, and not become useless after a certain point, as in previous games.

Yeah, I do agree with you. If you play the game in a particular way, a way that I will call "right" (because it works for me), then you don't have issues with money. A bit of sense is all it takes, but unfortunately a lot of people playing this game don't have any.

I fully agree with Furry_Monkey.

Killing random people and blow sh*t up =/= All the fun available in this game.

IMO, off-road stunting/jumping/maxing out the unused stats/etc >>>> Senseless kills and explosions left and right.

GTA V singleplayer is a much better product than Online.

Singleplayer, worth the sixty dollars

Online, not worth the sixty dollars.

GTA V is better than Online. It's better than most games out there in my opinion.

But the price is not important, seeing as how you never had to pay for it. So, for that money, I think it's a fair trade.

Look at how much money you get in a shot in SP. Plus, you have revenue from businesses and playing stock market.

Also, other items are cheaper, less money spent on other things.

I don't think its fair comparing V's money-making with O's.

But, outside of all the methods you mentioned, AKA businesses and such, I find them both almost the same.

As for overpriced stuff, such as clothes and paintjobs/mod parts/etc, yes I agree. But ammo? I'm way more than happy that its overpriced, especially the minigun and the RPG. It would be Rocket Launcher derbies if the ammo was so cheap.
