Too Attached to Personal Vehicles?

I'm with you OP. It was with a heavy heart that I got rid of my Monroe for the Coquette Classic. I also can't bring myself to sell my Tornado, even though I hardly ever drive it, and there are cars I could do with for racing purposes.

I've been toying for several weeks getting rid of my Zentorno and my Jester because I don't race (not really) and I've so many cars to choose from to take up the needed space. I decided I'll drive them both for a few days. Suffice to say my Zen sold a few days later, my jester got a new paint job last night and the extra 20% armor to make it to 100%, it's become my new daily FR driver. The thing only got a small outing when it first came out but now it's the dawg's proverbials. Jesters are the forgotten legend of GTAO imho.

I do recognise this problem though OP. I want a Zentorno on my second character but I can't sell anything. I also drive cars to LSC but can't pull the trigger on selling. I also wander aimlessly through my garages pondering and fretting... I know dat feel.

I've had a lot of times where I'm sitting inside of LS Customs about to sell my Roosevelt, but I could never do it. It's happened with a lot of other cars, too, but I eventually sold those (some I regretted selling, others I didn't).

Glad I never had the heart to sell the Roosevelt, but even if I did, it'll probably be available again next February.

Yeah there's a few supercars I'll never sell, Such as my Adder, Entity, Etc. Just cuz I've been through so much with them and they're the greatest cars in the game.

I am a huge vehicle enthusiast and and I have an issue of getting rid of cars sometimes. However, I do raise hell when someone so much as crashes into my vehicle on purpose. I run with the rule of do not f*ck with a man's automobile.

AMEN. I do have this problem of selling most of my cars, runs in the blood of most people, your car can and will become more than just a car, it will be who you are and that makes parting ways with hard.

even the ones I barely use and mainly have for looks I have a hard time getting rid of.

for some reason it's the cars I have had the longest that usually survive.

just can't get myself to get rid of the entity or carbon I've had for ages, even if the zentorno and massacro are better alternatives (I just got both btw)

 

also hate the return values so expensive cars usually survive any replacement as well.

 

you do have to think this trough though, and I'd suggest giving cheap/off the street cars priority when picking which to replace

even if you do end up regretting it, which I often have, they're a lot cheaper to replace than that fully modded entity

I never truly become attached to anything unless it is currently unobtainable. And, as of right now, that award goes to my modded Burrito, glitched Panto, and modded Mesa. The others have varying lengths of time in which they stay before I cut them out.

There's cars that I won't sell right now, but only a few of which that I'm actually attached to. One of them being my Hard-top Tornado, it was the first I found online (Back in May I believe) and I insured that puppy asap. Got some custom "WAYLON" plates on it, blacked it out, and it's been there ever since. Sometimes I wish for a soft-top, but I'm never gonna get rid of the Waylon Tornado, and maybe it's because it's the only car in my garage that kept it's plates, maybe because it says Waylon, but I can't even dream of getting rid of it.

Back when we still had functioning sp/mp and store-any-car glitches though, I went through cars like it was nothing. Glitch it in, drive it, don't like it? NEXT! Those were the glorydays for carhounds like myself.

My all black adder & stone silver cognoscenti Cabrio. Two my favourites I won't ever sell.

I purchased the cognoscenti 1st and had to wait forever before 1.16 to have races to win so I could unlock the stone silver paint. I remember just grinding races and counting down the wins until it paint job was unlocked. Didn't know I had unlocked it like 4 races back and ended up unlocking a lot of other sh*t along the way but that was after 1.16 and everyone joins anything now which made it easier.

My adder, well, who doesn't want one? It's 1mil, go hard, big dawg big nuts.

 

I purchased the Turismo over the Cheetah after reading a lot of old articles on this forum and peoples opinions. Although I still want a cheetah but know it's waste of money since I got the Turismo... Its just the cheetah was the car I took for Trevor in SP when you pretend to be cops and can glitch it into the cops repo garage. So, I remember that in sp being poor as f*ck and having a cheetah which made me feel all badass with crazy Trevor behind the wheel and it's that memory that makes me want to buy it online but I stop myself a lot waiting for more realestate and cars in future 1.17 or see what comes worth blowing $$$ on.

i dont know, the entity is still my chase car rather then my zentorno because if a zentorno takes a sudden corner, the entity will be able to stay on it while the zentorno isnt realy good at slowing down and taking a turn after coming out full speed like the entity does

also the zentorno is far more vunurable against flying up and not landing on its wheels

the entity generaly can bash on its back or head like its nothing...the zentorno not so much

or i feel like that due to the fact the zentorno is the worst of the super cars to have when having any other terain besides the main road

that being said, there isnt one of my cars i have now as being particular replacable for an other, though i lately like to drive my felon 4 door for the most part, they are all usefull for something exept the stinger gt....woud have traded it for the new coquette, but the customisation options for that one are not that briliant and the stinger gt handles way better(performs worser though)

Actually yeah. I have a Vacca I refuse to sell or recolor since it was my first super car and also the only car I ever painted with a crew color (a color from a crew I don't have as active nowadays)

I know there are a lot of people who would call a bluff when I say this, but I have 19 cars and I have every single one of them for a reason. On top of that, I truly drive every single one of them. Sure I drive a couple more than others, but i can say that I pull out all of them for some reason or another in under a weeks time. I'm incredibly attached to all of them and it's taken me since Gtao came out to achieve the garage that I have now, so there is definitely a sense of accomplishment when I walk in either of my garages. No, my garage isn't filled with nothing but super cars and million dollar vehicles, but I do have ONE adder and ONE zentorno. As a matter of fact, a good majority of them are nothing but plain off the street, every day vehicles. However, every car in my garage almost always had a never ending search for said car, so the gratification will always be there. All I keep thinking about is if there are two cars that I want over the next who knows how many dlc's, I'm going to have some VERY big desicions on my hands that I'm not ready to deal with.
