Too Attached to Personal Vehicles?

Anyone else have this problem too?

For the last few weeks, I've been using my motorbikes a lot. As I only have an Akuma and a Bati I thought I'd get a Double T for a bit more variation. Only problem is what to get rid of?

After some careful consideration I decided to get rid of my Entity since the Zentorno does everything at least as good ,if not better and looks far more attractive too. I've only got my Entity out maybe 2 or 3 times since the High Life update. So last night I got in my Entity to take it to LSC and say goodbye. However, as soon as I left my garage and saw the sun shining off that black and purple pearlescent I immediately thought of all those races, all the noobs I shot out of the back of it and all the times I raced to Martin's house with the documents in tow.....

I just couldn't do it.

I'm gonna try again tonight or maybe I'll sell my Pheonix. Or my Sultan.

The only PV I'm attached to is my F620 on my main Char. and my Dominator on my second char. because those were the first cars. Aside from that, the rest are expendable. Since they are parodies / mashups of real cars, I don't have a big attachment to them.

I had/have the same problem. I have a bf surfer and a regina that i have many tims thought to sell but took back for memory purposes. Yeah so you can buy both now, but back when i searlched hours on end for a clean surfer with a surfboard on top, those where some good memories. Or trying to climb mt. Chiliad with it. Same for my regina, 'family' trips to mt. Chiliad and back.

I had to make room for the new Coquette Classic last night, and unfortunately, had to say goodbye to one of my favorite Muscle Cars, the Blade. I got into Los Santos Customs, and immediately started to regret my decision. I sat there for a good 20 minutes, and finally had to let it go. It was a pretty hard decision, I feel like I got rid of a family member or something.

 

This is exactly why Rockstar needs to let us have one more garage, that's all I'm asking for. 30 cars would be perfect for me, and I wouldn't have to make such decisions and sacrifices. Although, I'm sure a couple of months down the line, they will give us a third garage, and soon after we will be asking for a fourth unless they decide to stop adding new cars.

I'm like that too. I have a very carefully managed and balanced vehicle 'collection' spanning nearly every vehicle class, with both characters. I never keep cars which I don't end up liking, which is what makes clearing up space extra difficult. I did swap my Entity for Zentorno without hesitation though, as I've never really liked the former's looks.

Whenever I go to sell a personal vehicle, even if I haven't drove it much, I feel like I can't do it.

 

But then I just don't think and sell it anyway. Regret follows, but I get over it.

 

Of course, there are some cars I just absolutely cannot let go of, no matter how hard I try.

I know what you mean. I too get too attached. Even if it was a car I had no intention of keeping, if there was a story there I was hesitant. They got sold but it took me a few sessions to pluck the courage up.

 

If the vehicle was one it wanted and had used it was worse. Had a normal buffalo for ages, it seen me through lots. But it wanted the Buffalo s when it was available. No point in having two versions. Took a few sessions there to press the sell option.

I think that is the point OP, when you are able to purchase, and customize a vehicle like that, and pretty much live out of the thing, it's easy and understandable to get attached.

I was thinking of selling my Massacro for the Coquette Classic, but instead got rid of my regular Dubsta. That was a bit hard.

I want my Sandking XL back, but There's no cars what so ever I want to get rid of. I want my Feltzer back too.

I'm attached to my Sultan because it's the first I ever found, and has been with me since the week I started. It has a god awful paintjob that I need to change, but I don't see myself ever getting rid of it.

Even driving backwards with a bulletproof car and shooting is a tactic. It's an option you have in the game, not a cheat nor a glitch. Easily counterable too. Stop whining. Do I use this tactic? No. But that's because I usually mind my own business and almost never shoot first.

I am a huge vehicle enthusiast and and I have an issue of getting rid of cars sometimes. However, I do raise hell when someone so much as crashes into my vehicle on purpose. I run with the rule of do not f*ck with a man's automobile.

Bitch tactics aside, I know what you mean. I've got a 10-car and 6-car garage (don't want to upgrade to the showroom-cleanliness with my offroad vehicles) and I needed a spot so I had to sell my Rancher. The second I sold it I knew what mistake I made. I could buy another and do it exactly like it was but...it's not the same car, you know? I've a got a Phoenix and it's the oldest car I've had (way before the millionaire days) and I never once thought of selling it. If some player came up to me and told me he could legitimately give me $100,000,000, I wouldn't sell it. Oh, that's in GTA money. If he offered me that in real money I'd be like, "f*ck it, I'll throw in all my cars and I'll even give you my damn house in Paleto."

If I had to sell a vehicle, I would consider it for a good 3-4 hours. Luckily I don't have to do that anymore as I keep a free spot in my 6-car garage for any upcoming DLC/update vehicle.
