I think this would be a good game , same game, same features but graphics like gtav and new features and customization options and they should make the online version for it aswell, they should make character creation like saints row so that you can create the face of your online character and to buff them up take them to the gym or if you want your character fat eat lots of food lol i think a remake of san andreas would get lots of sales

If they remake, it'll not be available for PS3 and X360, it'll be a totally Next-Gen game *XB1/PS4/PC*, or maybe would only exist in the PS5, XB2 era *PC, never forget the PC*...
It's really hard to imagine what they would do...

Rockstar is unpredictable. =)
TBH, I think this is somehow impossible to happen =S, but one can believe...

I already dreamed with that, hope one day this will become true ;D

I'd love a San Andreas with slightly better graphics and draw distance with the physics and controls of the HD games. That would be awesome.

Putting aside technical limitations and outsated mechanica, GTA SA is a fantastic game.

The remake would turn the game into a masteriece, and bajillion times better than playing the crap called GTA V.

I don't know what is your understanding with "improvements".

Either regarding to modding or else.

But, in simple words, there should be absolutely no reason as to why we can't have a remake. It would be just another conversion into RAGE, but an official release.

If you have played the original Metro 2033 and the Redux version, you'll understand my point.

We already had a remake and that was ported onto phones. There's literally no reason to put San Andreas on the Rage engine when:

 

A) that already exists VIA mods

B) Rockstar is busy making new stuff and can't be assed to do it.

C) The main reason why remakes fail is because they don't feel like they add onto the game, but rather try to emulate the original.

I'm no San Andreas fan, but I think it should remained untouched. Just like all the older GTAs really.

Then they would make us play GTA: SA Online :/... Your load screens wouldn't be the traditional SA ones, it would be adverts for Online play, and they would most definitely f*ck up the cars. the Huntley would have to be the Baller... blech...

No, because there is simply no reason for it. People who already know that game would be complaining it's not old SA they used to love anymore, that R* is going cheap with remaking old games and that they ruined many things that were great (or were clouded by nostalgia). New people would be complaining that it's not V, that you can't buy Adder and Chrome it and that cities are too small, etc.

 

Simply speaking there is no target for game like that. R* (or some company) ported III, VC and SA to android and iPhones. Were they that popular? People who know these games will be playing them in either original form or heavy modified PC versions and new people won't love game that is so old (I am not insulting it).

What you also don't realize is... look at the old game's assets! They were built from GTA III, a game made 2001!

I don't get these graphics mods like iam2fresh posted. When you get past the shiny surfaces and reflective lighting, you're still in an ugly, boxy, 2D world with lousy textures. It really looks like lipstick on a pig.

 

To "remaster" that would pretty much be to rebuild the entire f*cking map completely. Doable, but a monumental task that is better spent towards making DLC or another game altogether. You can't just throw ICEnhancer in San Andreas and make it pretty...

And that's fine. Look past the graphics if you really admire the gameplay so much.

Classic should stay classic. Gold should stay gold, we don't need remaking older stuff plus it can turn to be as bad as V is, so no.

Enough remakes. Only a few devs have done it right anyway, the Halo HD remasters for example.

 

The industry should move forward and not try to relive past glories like some former high school jock.
