What do you do when someone targets you?

I mean like the people who make it their mission to kill you in a session w/ buzzards/lazers/tanks anything they can get. This dude was rank 300 something and I guess he got mad 'cause I killed him once for shooting at me when I drove by him. He gets in a lazer and shoots down me down while I was in my Swift. He jumps out his jet and tries to fight me on foot, but I wasn't in the mood for it so I just went off-radar and killed him so I could drive away. I try to get in my Besra and he has a Buzzard now and kills me before I can even get in the air. I go passive mode and he waits and even tries to kill me with his rotor blades. He eventually crashes/dies so I get in my Besra and fly away, he decides to get another lazer and shoots me down. I go passive again and the dude legit waits for me to get in a car/out of passive. He circles above me for a few minutes so I just leave session.

 

What is it that even motivates people to do crap like this? Does it make them feel superior? Was this guy just a loser or something?

Usually if they want to kill you they will commit the crime.

If they are in a jet that is.

 

I just eject asap so they don't get the cheap kill.

Some people just don't like getting killed. What I would have done is try and get a Lazer and bring him down. But, since you didn't want to fight, I think you did the right thing by leaving.

Make sure I have RPG ammo.

 

Go to nearest fighter jet and/or Buzzard.

 

Put $9000 bounties, mercenaries, Merryweather helicopter support, airstrikes, and sticky bombs. Anything I can do to spawn kill them, and wreak havoc even if they're in passive mode.

 

As soon as I kill them at least five times, I message them with "Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?" and I leave the lobby.

Some people in the game just like picking fights, not normally happy about it when they lose. I had one guy repetitively kill me in free roam, so I started returning the favor - guy quit out straight away. Sore losers.

Also send a mugger after them, the mugger is unlikely to get away, but who knows. Make sure you not carrying in cash on you in case he returns the favour Also someone used a mugger on me to throw my attention off them so they could kill me, so be weary it might be a diversion tactic.

 

If the mugger does get away, you get about $6K cash which would annoy them even more.

after close to 25k player kills my aggression level have lowered, ill attack, kill a couple times, if they dont fight back i just move on.

I do a lot of targeting when I'm in my evil kill everyone on sight mood. However, when I'm not in that mood, I like to explore and drive around and if a player/players decide to target me, I unleash hell on them.

 

I send muggers, mercenaries, set bounties, destroy their personal vehicles and even kill the player/players multiple times.

 

Eventually, they leave me alone

I make them chase after me, sometimes with funny results. Like someday I spawned at the docks in a public lobby after a job. My Daemon was near the exit of the docks, not so near me. A white dot with a 2 (AKA 2 people in a vehicle) was moving quite fast near me, then I start hearing explosions. I quickly go and grab a parked Issy that was there to rush to my Daemon. Then I see what it was: 2 people in a Buzzard coming after me.

 

I somehow manage to grab my bike without getting blown and start getting away from the docks. I make a U-turn to take the bridge out. I see the Buzzard trying to do the same, but when I loose sight of them, I hear an explosion and both died. Yeah, they crashed trying to turn the Buzzard to follow me.

 

Another guy was chasing me while I was with my Vacca. We reached Simeon's docks and I stop and get out thinking that there wasn't another way out of this but with a fight...or at least I though that, since the other guy somehow managed to fail to break and went flying straight to the water. Then I just had to find him and kill him in the water.

 

Yeah, most of times when I'm targeted by someone and get chased somehow are like this

i never said killing is the only thing in this game i said dont kill people if you dont want a war and im just saying that most people who get free kils off me get spawn trapped the whole session

Yeah I did. You said he shot at you so you stopped to kill him. Then you go on to say you werent in the mood for kiling people. So why did you go back the first time to confront the player in the first place? Maybe you couldve turned he other cheek and let it lie?

I never start fights, but I'll finish them oh so gracefully. If its just some random antisocial degenerate winding up the lobby and screaming through his mic, then I'll use my Musket and just fling snide remarks at him with every kill. I find that if you just tear one guy apart in simplest of ways whilst remaining calm and collected, it tends to discourage the others.

 

Sometimes players will avoid conflict altogether if you at least make an effort to contact them. For example, I was walking down the alleyway near Rockford Plaza last night and I had a guy in a Zentorno pull up at the end with a rifle out. He ducked into cover and got ready. I sent him a text "Desert Eagle rounds are expensive, and I don't like to waste them. So run along now." He just got back in his car and left.

I make them work for their kill. If I see a dot coming near me with speed, I bait them by staying still, then just when I see it within 2 blocks on my radar, I floor it and make them chase me. Pursuing someone in freemode is a lot different then racing, which I take full advantage of. I duck in alleys, make them chase me around tight corners, nudge traffic so that they slam into my pursuer, all kinds of stuff. I've actually had many people give up chasing me because they couldn't catch me. No, not because I was in faster rides, I tend not to use my Supers because they take away from the thrill. It's because they can't keep up with me skill-wise.

 

In the event that someone comes after me and I'm NOT in my PV, I don't leave anything to chance. I don't bother with conventional weapons, I whip out the RPG and light their asses up. Shock & Awe to let them know what they're getting themselves into. Then, I lead them to one of my ambush points...of which there are many in LS city limits and set them up for further failure. One particular parking garage that I'm keeping secret has only 1 way in and out. So even if the person goes off radar, I'll still see them coming in regardless. A strategically placed Sticky or a Heavy Sniper round between the eyes usually ends the engagement. 80% of the time the person will give up after that 2nd kill. And of they do kill me 1st, I'll still lure them to my ambush points and lay waste to them. Usually only takes a few times of me wasting them to realize they'll never gain the upper hand in the fight, so they'll give up.

 

All and all, I make the engagement happen on my terms. As result, they don't last long.

Once or twice, or during a brawl then I take cover and fight back. When it's clear that the person is simply on a tear and I'm the target, I change sessions.
