So for the last couple days, I restarted GTAV from the start in single player. And I've been just going back through and beating the game. About an hour or so ago I did the mission where you crash the Duster into the back of the Cargo Plane, and it got me thinking about stuff. Online was advertised towards working with a crew, no? How about Crew events, that only occur in Crew-Only Freeroam Sessions? For example, you start a Crew-Only game session, invite your fellow crewmates into the world, then when there's 3 or more people, high-crew-level free roam events begin to occur, in similar fashion to Crate Drops, Gang Attacks, and Armored Trucks. The reason why I say high-crew-level is so these events are only available for those truly dedicated to working with their crew and the members within the crew. This would mainly consist of a variety of Drug Smuggling and Weapons Shipments. Assassinations would occur in all types of free-roam. They would breakdown as follows:

1. Aerial Weapons Shipments: A Cargo Plane spawns in as it takes off from Fort Zancudo, and is marked on the mini map for all players within the crew session (a notification above the mini map also occurs). This forces a No-Fly-Zone over the northern half of the map, forcing you to fly low. When the Cargo Plane clears the No-Fly-Zone, you and your crew can begin to assault the aircraft. Shoot the craft down, then trace it to the crash site and loot the wreckage for potentially high-level weaponry, new outfits, or even crates full of cash (may consist of up to GTA$150,000, split among your crew members). The levels of the new weaponry can be from multiple classes, and include weapons which have requirements exceeding that of the Minigun (level 120). Weapon crates among the wreckage will also refill your current ammo counts, as if you are picking up dropped ammo. The available outfits you can loot will be found as pieces to an outfit (pieces of clothing). One example would be pieces to the Juggernaut Armored suit (Helmet, Body, Legs, Gloves, Boots).

2. Paleto and Chamberlain Drug Shipments: These high-level shipments are top-dollar and very difficult to complete. When this event spawns, it will either spawn in Paleto Bay or in Chamberlain Hills. These will be marked on the mini map, and a notification will be given out. Crew members must run into the marked area, and must fight the dealers of these drugs. They are stronger than your typical Gang Attack, consisting of even high level weapons, such as RPG launchers, Grenade Launchers, Explosives, and Miniguns. When only 2 enemies remain, the shipment will spawn in a van, and will be surrounded with powerful guards in SUVs, equipped with high-level, non-heavy weaponry (potentially new weaponry that exceeds the level 120 requirement). These weapons will be the most powerful in their classes, however they cannot be upgraded with attachments as they are looted, as opposed to purchased. You can choose to kill these guards for the chance to loot these powerful weapons, or chase the shipment of drugs down. If you retrieve the van, you must deliver it to Trevor and Ron at McKenzie Airfield, to be shipped out, and a large sum of pay will be handed out and split among the crew member participants. The payment per person can exceed GTA$100,000 per person, if using the smallest amount of players (3) to complete the task. The less people you play with, the more money each person gets, but the harder the job is.

3. Ground Weapons Cache Deliveries: AmmuNation has been selling all sorts of ammo, and is beginning to run low. They are in need of stock, and the store owner in Paleto Bay will occasionally send you and your crew members out to retrieve a Weapons Cache, so he may send stock to the other stores across San Andreas. Your crew must hijack a freighter that spawns, or wait for it to dock at the Industrial Pier. Methods are shown below:

-If you choose to hijack it, you can go by air or by sea. Guards on the boat must be killed before the freighter may be controlled. Once under control, the crew members pilot the ship to the Paleto Bay docks, near the AmmuNation, and defend the ship from incoming enemies by both air and sea. Deliver the ship, and payment will be issued based on the number of crates on board.

-If you wait for it at to dock, you must take out the guards and workers surrounding the dock, then use the equipment on the docking platform (Dock Handlers and those big blue cranes) to transfer shipping containers to semi trailers, then deliver the shipments to the AmmuNation in Paleto Bay. While making the delivery, enemies will make chase in vehicles. The vehicles they use is entirely random, which makes trips easy or difficult, because they weapons they use within those vehicles depends on the vehicle they spawn in.

Payment is by container, split between the crew. Each container contains GTA$50,000 worth of weapons and ammo, and these freighters may contain between 2 and 15 shipping containers. Containers may be lost during the deliveries (destroyed by enemies); this offers no penalty other than to your final reward.

4. Assassinations: Being a hired gun has become more rewarding. However, they also became more difficult. No more easy-peasy "kill the guy in the SUV for three grand". a high priority target will spawn in, and the players in the game will be notified via notification and a text message from Lester. These targets have a variety of locations, ranging from executive jets taking off from LSIA, to armored transports through the city, to even just walking into their home and killing them with stealth. Stealth takedowns from within homes require maximum Stealth skill, or they will be unsuccessful. Armored Transports are heavily defensive to aerial attacks, so you must go after them with a vehicle or on foot. This requires maximum Driving (for driving) or maximum Stamina and Strength (on foot). Executive kills require air vehicles (required: maximum flying), or a high-powered sniper rifle (required: maximum Shooting). Kills out at sea would require maximum Lung Capacity, and be dealt with via a small cutscene of your character in a strangling fight with the victim. Assassinations would also attract the LSPD (and the Military, depending on your location), giving players an instant 4-stars. If you fail to evade, you don't receive your payment.

This would be a good idea, but making it a no-fly zone, thus restricting the player of the freedom of choice. such as making Blaine County a no fly zone? Yeah. The air cargo infiltration is a good idea, though. Making crews battle for the shipment could offer a crew vs crew situation in free roam (finally!)

Ammunation restock missions could be fun as well. Just as long as the store clerk pays better than Martin Madrazo, it's great.

See that's why I also mentioned potential pay. The restock missions offer $50,000 per container, split among the crew. A decent size crew session, combined with a large spawn of crates during said free roam activity, could result in large payouts per player, easily exceeding those given by NPC missions.
