I always time out after the voting screen.

Whenever I finish a job, and everyone has voted, the game is supposed to load the next one. Instead, 90% of the time the loading screen stays for about two minutes, and it loads the job with me as the host, saying everyone "left". When i join jobs from free mode it works fine, but basically i can not play multiple jobs in a row. It clearly has something to do with my connection, but I have no idea what.

I already tried:

Port forwarding

DMZ

Re positioning router

Wireless to Wired (didnt help either)

And my nat type is 2

If someone could help me, I would REALLY appreciate it, because i dont know what to do.

happens to me lots too, happens more if i try and join a friends session or mission and it fails and i have to load a different one, or if everyone votes on different stuff at the end its seems to happen. I just press O and quit instead of vote before it starts loading if people pick something different and it doesnt do it near as often then. clearing game cache after it happens seems to fix it and i always load into an invite only session first and then go to a public one or missions from there. youre tied to the session you are in when you join missions so its best to be in a private one. if youre in a public one with a buncha people cheating and glitching it corrupts the game and gives you problems.

What happens when you timeout, does the game put you back in single player?

I usually just go to the job, but with all the other players gone. And sometimes it just boots me back to singleplayer

I don't know man. It happened to me a while back and stayed that way for a week but then all of a sudden it was OK again.

You can try using a different router/modem or the other way around using a different PS3 or Xbox hooked up to your current router/modem. See if that makes a difference.

As someone above already mentioned you should clear the game cache. If that doesn't solve the issue you can delete only the latest patch file 1.16, restart the console and re-install the patch when prompted to after starting GTA V. Reset your modem/router before doing these steps.

Some people with timeouts solved their issues by unlinking and link back their PSN ID's or Gamertags on Social club.

As a last resort I'd backup my save files and delete the GTA V game data and re-install it.

Well, they are 2 separate things. But you should do both these steps.

1. Delete browser cache - http://en.kioskea.net/faq/29934-playstation-3-how-to-delete-temporary-files-and-cookies

2. Delete game patch file - Navigate to the "Game" section on your PS3 menu. In the "Game" section there should be a folder called "Game data utility" or "Hulpprogramma voor gamedata" in dutch.

There are two different GTA files in this folder. One is called Grand Theft Auto V - Install (8gb size) and the other one is called Grand Theft Auto V. You want to delete the Grand Theft Auto V file which is the data of the latest update patch 1.16. After deleting it, restart your PS3 and start GTA V. You will be asked to download and install the latest patch. Do it and then go online to see if the problem is solved.

No problem man, good luck!

Unfortunately it's still happening. I did notice that it depends on the lobby itself, because when it does work one time, it always continues to work for all the jobs that follow.

Guess i should just wait for the next update because constantly having to sit trough a 5 min loading screen after playing 1 job is really frustrating. I just have no idea what the issue might be, the weird thing is that very rarely, i can just play 5 jobs in a row, and the other 95% of the time, i play job, everyone votes for next one, loading screen comes up, and i time out.

Damn, yeah maybe it's not something on your end. Are you usually playing in a public server? Have you tried playing in invite only session and join a job from there to see if the same thing happens?

I only play in invite only sessions because everything runs smoother. Public servers are too laggy and glitchy for me. There just seems to be more problems with everything when I play on public servers. Even the loading times seems longer.

yea, like i said quit instead of vote, then you avoid this problem.

Well the whole point is that i dont want to quit everytime i've played a job

Just tried from invite only session and i also tried relinking my social club account, but the game still gives me the finger when going from one job to another. It just loads for a minute and then brings me to the job as the host saying everyone left. 10+ patches and this f*cking game still doesnt work for me. Absolutely ridiculous

The only thing I'd recommend you try at this point is with a different router/modem. Borrow one from a friend or relative.

If the issue still remains then there's not much else you can do, to my knowledge, but hope the next update will fix it. Hang in there.

It don't work for anyone unless everyone votes on same Job. If dumbasses vote different it gonna lag. Get a crew that's not retarded and can all vote the same or quit and rejoin the host if you wanna keep playing with same guys
