Super Car Drivers Reputation

It's pretty common to hate in-game super cars and people who drive them because of jerks who troll in them Which is completely unfair, but that's not the point. Let's say jerks didn't grief and troll in them, would you still hate super cars (and the drivers) if they didn't? Would people still find a reason to hate them?

I have a full Super Car garage (+Jester). They look like real-life cars and not swagmobiles.

I hate the fact that Super Cars are associated with the cancer players of GTA Online, with chrome and stupid colours. Not to mention bulletproof rear abusing. And the lack of driving skill.

 

I like Super Cars and hate the people that drive them in this game. They ruined the whole idea behind coveted rare cars. Except they aren't rare, so every man and his dog owns a Zentorno.

For me, Super Cars are fun, and I like going fast.

The pinnacle of engineering and performance, supposedly. Not when there's a child with dollar rims crashing into every lamppost and blowing up other players.

 

I worked hard for that garage and it took a long time getting all the rims and colours right. I like looking at it and driving the cars regularly. But it annoys me when I remember that everyone else has these cars, and it's even worse knowing that they have modified them to look absolutely awful with bright hex colours, chrome bodywork and colourful dollar rims.

 

I don't know what happened in October, but Rockstar failed on this part of the game.

I don't like the shape of supercars, boring and ordinary looking like all the rest of the modern plastic that comes out these days but the speed is what helps. i like older cars so thats my reason for not liking supercars so much

That's what I was thinking. They're the exact opposite of this!

I can respect his distaste for them, but those are not words I'd use to describe them.

 

Boring and ordinary is how I'd describe my Toyota Camry.

If you guys ask me, this game would be just fine without the super cars, the super cars in GTAIV were in fact sports cars, and all of its antecessors were also sporst cars, only in V we have true super cars.
But these uper cars are way too over the top, dumb, flashy and un-needed since the top speed is capped anyway, the only reason I have a fully modded Turismo R is because I use it for races only, I also got a fully modded Adder because of the dead hooker glitch didnt allowed me to sell it so I kept it.

Nothing wrong with a Toyota Camry.

I gave up on practical everyday cars in real life when I saw everyone driving a grey sedan or hatchback that looked exactly the same. Overpowered and loud American muscle is the way forward. Import charges and insurance will milk you dry though, as well as fuel to run the damn things.

Having a car that struggles to get past 20 MPG as a daily driver isn't the best idea I ever had.

R* makes one side of a car look good (front or back) and makes the other side look like sh*t.

 

The Voltic is would be much greater if it didnt look so bland.

 

This is why I stick to Coupes and Sports

 

 

 

ALSO, starting to see something of a pattern here. OK so everyone can agree that all the cars in gta iv looks realistic and well done, detailed, etc. and GTA IV was supposed to have that realistic vibe to it.

 

Now with GTA V everything seems like a huge parody/joke. nothing is as realistic as gta iv felt. so they degrade cars, less detail, and make them look like sh*t as a joke.

 

EXAMPLE!

 

All of this JDM accessories for cars in game look ridiculessly overdone, the facepaint, the masks. I mean, come on. none of that looks like a whole big joke to you??

rockstar allowed me to buy a gun in gta online to kill people not hug them

I prefer "normal" cars that I see everyday as I can relate to them. I used to love Forza because they had all these cars I'd see on the streets. A "supercar", for me, was an RX-7 tuned up that I saw 8 years ago while out riding my bike. But now I hate Forza as every DLC they put out at the end of Forza 4 was high-tech cars that cost more than a house and had little every day usage. While I dislike supercars, I respect them. I see how they can be appealing to people but they're just not for me.

On the other hand, I bought my first super last week - the lovely Infernus. Not competitive in racing but such a sexy car that I fell in love with in GTA IV.

I own 3 super cars on my primary character (Adder, Entity XF, Zentorno), and 3 on my secondary character (Infernus, Turismo R, Zentorno), all with realistic paint schemes. I drive them because of performance advantages, not to troll...as all the models mentioned have bullet proof rears. Personally, when I come across a Super car troll, I don't even bother firing my gun at them. I break out my RPG and blow them to kingdom come. I can afford the hit on insurance, I'm sitting on $15mil. Or better still, I'll lure them to one of my many ambush spots in LS and have a sticky bomb waiting when they enter the alley/parking lot. Nothing more rewarding then blowing those assholes sky high, then pulling off laughing at them.

I dont hate supers or any of the cars TBH. What I think is a clear sign of skilless trash is people who reverse and shoot. I always lol then proceed to rpg them. I couldnt care less all my money is stored on my 2nd toon so if you think that ill think twice before pulling out the boom boom then thats a problem you have to deal with not me

It's the AP Pistol, Auto Pistol Pistol doesn't make sense. It can pierce through armor easily so it's the Armor Piercing Pistol. I thought it was Auto Pistol too lol.

I like super/sports cars, they win my pick in almost every game, just a shame so much bad rep has come to us

Out of my 20 fully upgraded cars, 0 are supercars. They're just far too common and boring. In every mission I join, at least 2 out of the 4 people in it are in supers and one is always a Zentorno.
