If A franklin gang DLC was to happen

 

then there should be more ghetto clothing to wear, and if he stays with the families give him more green apparel to choose from.

 

bring back turf wars; Franklin and his men would assault a rival gang's hide out to takeover control of it's Neighborhood in San Andreas.

 

once acquired, hideouts would periodically come under attack by rival gangsters. IF the families fail to hold them off they lose the territory,

 

For those worrying; The territories would not affect you getting paid like the property errand missions, it would however change what gang spawns in the neighborhood.

 

if the families took back say IE: Grove Street they you'll see them spawn in that neighborhood however if not, the territory will stay under ballas control, or if say another gang sees an advantage, they may would try and takeover Grove Street.

 

The Hideouts would be susceptible to any and all gangs attacks, and if you're not trying to take over or hold on to your turf than you might see a gang war for a rival's turf. The Territories would change hands even without your participation in Turf Wars

 

There would be 23 gang hideouts/neighborhoods to attack, and your enemies would be The Ballas, Lost, Vagos, MaraBunta Grande, Korean Triad, Armenian Mob, O' Neil gang and The Professionals.

 

to make things more interesting, you would start by taking over small hide outs and work your way up to bigger ones; however you could attempt an assault on a bigger hideout with your chances being slim to none. This would be a bonus mini game to keep GTA V fresh and innovative, the more turf you have the bigger a threat you are to others in your league. If you prefer not to have to bother with turf wars you could assign a families lieutenant to assure A 50/50 chance your turf won't be lost.

Something dealing with Franklin's past, so we can get more development. He was a great character, but his potential wasn't used.

Franklin had 0 character development. Why did he left the gang life? Why he's always in a war with Lamar? How did he knew Simeon?

 

Only a DLC for Franklin's story can answer all these questions.

Of those choices I would want Trevor and T.P.E, but realistically a DLC story would not be about any of the main characters, and may not even cross paths with them at all.

Why is everybody talking like we're only getting one sp dlc?

 

For me, first and foremost I want two seperate prequel dlc's.

 

One big one that tells everything about Michael and Trevor. f*ck Brad by the way, just those two. It needs to show how close they were and the sh*t they went through together to get so close. They could work with all the old crew that lester mentioned. It would obviously need to take place in North Yankton, but that map definitely needs to be expanded if they do this.

 

The second would be Franklin's back story. This one would completely flesh out the gang life in Los Santos. It would introduce gang wars and a sh*t load of new crimes to commit. It would probably take place around the time Franklin killed that drug dealer Marcus. The Families would be a part of the story instead of just Lamar, Stretch, and Franklin.Where the hell is Gerald during the single player? And the OGs? It would probably either start when Franklin gets out of prison or end when he goes in.

 

For a third they could throw in a gimmicky, fun dlc like zombies, aliens or some other apocalypse bullsh*t.

 

Then for the fourth, we could have some post story stuff to top everything off. Maybe tie up loose ends that were left in the main story or the other dlc's. Trevor beefs up TPI and a Chinatown-like drug dealing system is introduced and has to deal with outsiders trying to move in on the now more open Blaine County market. Franklin and the Families have to deal with the blow back from the sh*t he did to the Ballas. And Michael ends up pissing off the mob or Merryweather or some sh*t that happened in the prequel comes back to bite him in the ass. Michael ends up dragging the others into one more heist to settle things and some sh*t goes down, blah blah blah. I'm no story teller but these are just ballpark ideas.

 

I doubt Rockstar would give us this many, but I can dream can't I?

After story in a way but I selected Franklin mostly because I feel his character is not only under developed it's contradictory. He is incredibly shallow and nasty at times which doesn't make sense with almost everything else about his character. There are situations where Franklin appears to be really not enjoying a relationship (most notably with Lamar and Jimmy) but still maintains it for no real reason.

 

Not to mention that anything that has more of Lamar is a definite step forward. Hell I'd want him to be the playable character especially if he develops himself just a little, understanding Franklin's drive much better but retaining his own character. Though Franklin would have to be much nicer to him, seriously 50 dollars? Lamar worked for naught on the cars and yes I know you just saved his ass Franklin but maybe if you gave him proper incentive and y'know gave him a lot more for his work encouraging him less into gang banging and more into the professional stuff when he clearly sees which one pays more, your relationship would make much more sense, it's not as though you are broke Franklin, you stingy bastard .

 

Yeah, Lamar/Franklin DLC with Lamar developing into a more professional character (without losing his charm and hey if Trevor can still be a random inconsistent, contradictory, irrepairable douche while still doing constructed professional heists an awesome character like Lamar can do this without blinking) that would be an excellent post game DLC.

As much as Id love one, I'm not sure they're making a prequel DLC, as ib that statement they said it would CONTINUE their adventures.

A prequel would be cool but I wonder if it's too much work, since they have to change the world more to reflect that era (even the cellphones will be slow and clunky).

 

An after-story DLC could be easier since they keep the same world intact. The one big problem here is we all chose a different A, B or C ending. If Michael, Trevor and Franklin meet up for more adventures, that would go against many who chose the other endings.

Prequel or sequel, all I know is that I do NOT want to see Trevar again. Continuing the story with either Trevor or Michael doesn't make much sense, because there's a very good chance one of them should be dead in most people's games. Continuing on with Franklin is something I really like the idea of, because I think he was kinda the main main protagonist. Lamar would be an awesome and pretty fitting character to introduce as a fourth protagonist; either teaming up with Franklin afterwards or doing his own stuff (possibly more gang-related business) during the same time as the main story.

I'd love to see expansion packs which expand Franklin's AND Trevor's character development with seperate storylines (but with possible cross-overs like it was done in GTA IV but using this awesome character switch and stuff).

 

Everyone agrees that the main story arc was about Michael problems (first it's middle age crisis, then Madrazo, and then Trevor finally leading to FIB). I personally like Michael least and would like to see more missions like Urban Safari or Mr. Philips.

 

There is no point in showing what happens next after the Big One because as Mike said, the trio will be pursued to death by goverment for robbing one of the most important banks to US economy so he suggest splitting up and making missions for each seperate protag would be stupid considering how Rockstar created character switch mechanic. Oh and they didn't block any post-story activities like hang-outs because that would be dumb.

 

No. Rockstar has enough space and plenty of things to explain during the basic events.

Pre-story DLC definitely. The after story has no story.. they hit the ultimate score, there's no sense in adding to that.

 

The pre-story DLC would help with the character development and we could have more interesting missions to play in North Yankton for example.

I voted for the 3rd one, but would want the 4th one too. If a zombie/alien mode counts as after story DLC then I want that one too.
