If you want to make money, you almost have to go into missions. I want to change that, here are some ideas.

 

Armored truck caravans:

-Trucks spawn in caravans of 2-3 armored trucks, and 1-2 noose vans

-Trucks each carry 10,000+ in cash instead of the small and pathetic 2.5k sum they do now

This requires you to have an attack and exit plan because once you attack one armored truck, the others will speed away and the noose men will get out of the van and start spraying.

 

Better HPV's

-High Priority Vehicles are always worth $200,000+ (vaccas, monroes, JB700s, stingers, massacros, rarely supercars like the entity or the adder)

-Simeon pays more the higher value the car is, up to $60,000

-Steal cars from less boring places (impounds, private airport hangars, private mansions, places where you will get a lot of heat if you come too close like merryweather or gangs instead of the empty parking lots we find them in now)

-Police will chase you with different levels depending on the value of the car you stole, the people you stole from will chase you with the same amount of heat no matter what

-If you drive very close to a policeman with the resprayed car he will recognize the license plate and begin to chase you

 

Better Assassinations from Lester

-Small background information on the person (not just "KILL TARGET", instead "Take out the juror before the trial in the morning" or "Take out the Triad leader and destroy their plane before the take off")

-Different assassination scenarios with high or low payouts depending on difficulty (kill him before the time runs out, kill him and get out with one bullet, take out him and his crew, etc)

 

Collectibles that you can sell

-Packets of coke you can pick up from sketchy drug deals across SA, deliver them to Gerald's apartment for a lump sum

-Information regarding drug raids you can pick up from Police gatherings, or the station, that you deliver to Trevor's for a lump sum

-Prototype military technology or sensitive information that you can pick up from Fort Zancudo, military caravans, or merryweather gatherings across SA that you deliver to Madrazo for a lump sum

-Enemies you booted the collectible from will chase you until delivery

 

Vigilante Work

-Stop by the police station to get a mini-mission that pays 1-8k, depending on difficulty

Some really great ideas man.

 

Definitely agree with you about HPV's. None of them actually feel like High Priority because you end up getting a pretty crap reward for all that hard work. Despite that, people still battle over them like there's no tomorrow. Would like to see the kind of wars that would go on for very luxurious cars with big rewards.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing Drug Dealing/Smuggling in Freemode either. It'd be cool if you could meet NPC's, and offer to sell them drugs for a price. Players would be a bit more tricky, because everyone just shoots on sight. Drug Smuggling would be cool too, taking drugs from one place to another for a bonus cash reward between missions.

Good ideas, but they would detract profit from Cash Cards. So it probably wont happen unless people stop buying Cards.

Lol, yea they dum dums. I like getting the hpv and letting putting igniton bomb on it and then letting them kill me and steal it, lol

Don't let Voodoo see this, he will lock this thread because, "WE ALREADY HAVE THAT!!". i made a poll about a contact car bomb from Packie and it got locked instantly because, "we already have car bombs" apparently.

NO, he will lock it because, we already have armored trucks and lester targets, not because it is a duplicate thread.

 

I love the ideas, I wish we could have the delivery missions like in Vice City or San Andreas.

Not only do I find it lazy that you're complaining about having to do jobs to make money, but I also think it's a bad idea because no one would do the missions if they didn't have to.

Ya they would, point is there aren't any new missions ever. I've been playing since release and ive played them all 10000000 times and I'm sick of them all, they are no longer fun. Wet simply need more stuff to do. It's coming on the pc and ps4. The ps3 is maxed, they haven't added much cause they can't. It barely runs now. The next version can't come fast enough, possibilities are endless but they all take time and money. They could make this Game like WOW and charge monthly fee and continually add new content and offer expansion packs and that would be super awesome. Or they could keep it free with cash cards and still make it decent if enough people but them.

If you're going to do that with HPV's which is a good idea, I think it'd be wise to have 2-3 of them on the map at one time. Because if they paid up to like 60k as you suggest, NOBODY would ever be able to collect one because half the lobby would wipe you off the face of GTA Earth before you even got to the LSC... or they'd be waiting right outside if you managed to make it. The cars in general should be more desirable cars. I mean honestly why the hell does Simeon want Prius's and that type of sh*t when a HPV pops up on the map??? Seems like a guy in that business would want something a tad more desirable and valuable.

Yes, the cash the Armored trucks drop is fine, great actually if you're lucky enough to get a repeated spawn. I do wish they would spawn a little more frequently, and that it wouldn't be announced in the lobby feed. They should show up on radar, but the spawns should just be sets routes at a given time.

 

I do agree HPV should actually be high end cars, at least of the one s that can and do spawn in game. They can remain unable to store, and you still have to make a mod shop trip to respray and "clear their tracker" for a fee. And then they can be taken to the docks, players receiving 10% of the retail value.

And while we're at it, the regular exports procedure should get a tweek too: HPV should still have to go to docks, but regular cars from Simeon's list should go to his dealer instead (just like repossessed cars in his missions do.) It would be the perfect place to give a nice, brief completion cut-scene for the sake of immersion.

Seems to me like a lot of people have wised up on this. My crew does this all the time and we get takers about 1 out of every 10 times. The rest just blow it up. It's funny when someone takes it, but it doesn't happen that often.

 

Good ideas, OP. You may need to turn the money damper down on some of the ideas - I think $50,000 or $60,000 would be plenty to make everyone on the map give a sh*t about Simeon cars again.

 

I took in a Penumbra the other day as the Simeon car and barely dinged it once going to the garage and made $3,300 for it. They sell for $2,400 to a LSC. I paid $400 for Lester to ditch my wanted level and $900 or so on paint. So I would've made more money selling it to LSC than fancying it up for Simeon. I can see why people don't go for them in Freemode - they're not really worth the trouble unless they're something like a Landstalker.

Great ideas OP. I especially like your idea for varied and more difficult assassination missions. The Lester targets now aren't challenging to take out in the slightest.

Yeah but Money transport between banks are normally not "just" around 10k.

There's gotta be more in there if the truck normally gets protected by 5+ Policecars.

And why do we always have to deliver the HPV to the docks? Maybe R* could add 2 or 3 new delivery points and you choose which one you prefer.

 

IMO that would make things a lot more interesting and less predictible and will force people to follow you and not camp in the docks and wait for you to arrive just to blow you up.

i think i do just fine already without playing missions. true i do not have millions, but i make enough to get me by. however i do think it would be nice though to be able to make more like you're saying and agree with the ways your describing it. :beerhat:
