Now when you switch to weapon with flashlight, flashlight will be turned off! Yay

TheBaronOfHell

I only attached it to my Carbine Rifle to make it look more customized.

So if you turn it off for one weapon, it stays off for all weapons? Or does the game somehow remember the on/off status for each weapon's flashlight, even after rebooting the game days later?

Kinda nice to hear, anyway. Maybe I'll put them on more guns now, assuming this new feature isn't buggy (which it probably is).

Forgot about this little caveat in the last Update...might have to put it on my Silenced Carbine Rifle to make the Ultimate "Stealth" Weapon

Most useless feature, just a cosmetic.

It might be used one day, you never can tell with Rockstar though.

No. Now flashligts are always turned off when switching weapon and you can turn them on by pressing right d-pad.

I should've read your original post more clearly, thanks for the correction. :)

I like the fact that it's turned off by default now, I'll definitely put it on more guns. Doesn't necessarily mean I'll be using it more often, though.

GrandMaster Smith

I use it a lot in freeaim deathmatches when it's set at night, can't see sh*t sometimes without it

I love this change - it might be a little thing, but I liked having the flashlights on the guns for aesthetic purposes, but find them annoyingly ineffective in actual combat (I don' know about you guys, but they make things harder to see for me) - so I was forever turning them off. Now, I get what I want without the part I hated.

Give it a blinding effect like in Battlefield and make the light from all players render and then I'll reconsider using flashlights. As of now they're only useful in a few singleplayer missions that take place indoors.

I've gone full stealth since the go slow payment rules, got myself some soft shoes, silenced gun a rancher to shoot from behind. No bullet proof tyres either just to help deliver stuff a bit slower on the rims.
