NPC Changes with 1.16?

Hello everyone!

So recently I have seen more NPC related things after 1.16.

- I was robbing a convenience store in the desert and heard a female officer coming to the store. She said something like: "cover me, he's in there!" If I remember correctly, female officers never spawn in Online mode.

- In the desert there's this little off-road track. I decided to drive around it a few times. During my laps, I saw 2 guys on Scorcher bicycles, a couple construction workers in this area of the track with pipes, and around this one ramp, there were a few guys just chilling there. I back up my truck and hit the ramp. 2 guys jumped off to avoid me and the other one jumped with his hands in the air and yelled: "yeah!"

- Around Davis, Strawberry, and Grove Street, I see a little more activity going on. More conversations, NPC's doing things, more cars, more NPC variety, etc. Like this old man was walking around Grove Street and the Ballas ended up shooting him because he bumped into a gang member. Then the Families went there on foot and in cars and had a shootout. I was expecting the cops to show, but remember cops don't respond to NPC crimes in Online mode. But the paramedics showed up.

- I'm seeing more cyclists in Mirror Park, Route 68, and the freeways.

- Two fat guys decided to have a fist fight at a LTD Gas Station.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Probably because I play in Invite Only almost all the time, and maybe lag and different peoples' connections don't let things like this happen in public mode. Kind of like how cars tend to spawn less in public mode. But still, anyone else see this?

That sounds cool. All I saw so far in this update is the same old online.

Playing in Invite Only is what's causing this. There's less stress on the game to load traffic and things like that for others players, so you see a richer tapestry of NPCs and traffic.

What if R* changed nothing with NPCs, and you just now noticed this?

Yeah I agree.

Like I said, public mode might cause this to not happen. Hopefully on PC/Newer consoles we can go into any mode and have a rich and living world.

Did you rob the store in Sandy Shores? If so, the female cop was probably the one that spawns at the police station a few blocks down. You can usually see her in SP when you die in that area.

The fight I don't know about, but the rest seems like it has been there since the beginning.

The thing is I've never seen this before. Even in invite only.

1. Female Cop has always been in online.

2. Ya sure he said "Yeah!" and not "f*ck me in the aaaassss!"?

3. Cops do react to NPC crimes that the player could do. Example: If you bump an NPC car into a filled police cruiser, the NPC will get a wanted level.

4. Again, always been there.

5. Could just be a un-scripted NPC fight.

I'm pretty sure 90% of these things have been in the game since launch.

I've never heard an NPC say:

"F**k me in the ass"

There's a hotdog stand just across the train tracks from south-east corner of Sandy Shores...I was in the area and heard a man crying...I found this dude cowering behind the stand, sobbing away, occasionally peering around the corner at these two guys camping a few meters away...it was strange as hell!

Has anyone noticed, that police bikes spawn in the senora freeway. It was pretty cool until I found out you can't store it.

I call bullsh*t on that. Invite only sessions can handle the same amount of players as a regular game, and I've seen everything that the op stated for ages in regular lobbies.

As far as I know everything you listed has already been there from the start, the only change is that cop stars take a bit longer to lose

NPCs are strange creatures that inhabit the world of GTA.

One time I was in my monster truck and saw a couple of NPCs sitting on the edge of docking area, so I slowly reversed up to them to push them in the water, but it didn't work, I ended up wheel spinning on reverse up against the NPCs and they wouldn't budge! How they didn't mind a huge monster truck wheel spinning right on their backs I'll never understand.

If an NPC dies and burns up on a camp fire their body stays in the area for a while, so if you go a little way away then return, other NPCs will have respawned round the fire, being all casual like whilst there's charred bodies on the ground next to them.

If you accidentally set yourself on fire, NPCs will usually run away screaming even if haven't done anything else to scare them/

I also don't understand how in the world they can die with just one punch but survive a tank running them over.

Robbing a store as a cop comes in. Lol

I can just picture this in the real world

You: "GIVE ME YA DAMN MONEY BIATCH!"

Store: "Ok Ok!" *starts filling bag with money*

Police: Your under arrest

You: Yo' that wa quick bro

lmao.

The female cop has always been outside that Sandy Shores store, a block from Trevor's. Maybe not all day, but she will spawn there and is pretty close when you rob it.

After 1.15 I have noticed cyclists and other NPC groups more often, larger groups hanging out in various spots around the map, like Sunset Blvd clubs, and a group of yogis near Michael's (hey BooBoo!).

Call bullsh*t all you want there, chum. It's not about how many players the lobby supports, the key point is that the OP was playing in said lobby alone. The same problems will arise in an Invite Only lobbuy with 16 players in it. You obviously don't understand how your game communicates with the cloud server, and how data packets are transferred in conjunction with server spawning mechanisms in GTAO.

It's no secret to anyone with half a brain that if Billy is on the ground, and moving at walking pace, then the game will have no trouble spawning NPC's and traffic in a wide variety. However, if Johnny gets in a jet and flies over Billy's head repeatedly, then Billy will notice that cars will soon disappear from the streets, as will the people.

This is to assist the game in sending and receiving data packets (the smaller they are, the easier to keep the game from lagging), and you can test it out yourself.

Invite only lobby or solo and you will see things in Online you've never seen before.

Also, Ninja Tour, I wish I could thumbs up the post above this 100 times.

Errhhh... Sorry to say. I'm an Invite Onlyist and I have been meeting female ranger around Trevor's neighborhood.

I also stole mountain bikes from off-roader and not to forget around Mirror Park.

I'm not sure what you were doing though, but I realize you actually can see more activities if you ride around the area slowly. Let's say on foot or riding a bicycle.

I was walking down the street the other day and a npcs phone rang and she answered it and said, I got so drunk last night I think I f*cked a dog!
