Whenever you steal a jet from fort zancudo some glitched out fighter jet follows you but they dont even show up on the mini map. They have insta-kill abilities and will kill you if you are within 500 m of them. R* did this obviously.

Congratulations you discovered something that's existed from day one. Your inability to pilot had been noted and laughed at.

Because they like to feel special. Anyways, it's not hard to steal the jet and get away. I have full flying skill, but I'm not great at flying, so I can only imagine how awful you have to be to get shot down every time.

My strategy is to pick one of the two jets out in the open in the grassy area, then immediately as I'm airborne whilst still pulling up I flip over and head south, the NPC jet can't do a 180 as quick so you lose him. Usually..

Or the NPC jet uses his nitrous and suddenly he's right behind you even though you have your landing gear up and you are flying full speed.

Lmao, people still aren't competent enough to steal a jet? I steal many jets daily without blind eye and without removing my wanted level. Its so easy, but too many scrubs think flying straight up is how you get a jet, which is horribly wrong. Fly LOW over the wall. No jet will spawn behind you, ever.

Nope. I lost the cops and everything one time, made it back to the city and some random jet came out of nowhere and blew me up. When I re spawned it was still flying around so I sniped at it and it blew me up again. And as soon as I re spawned it again blew me up. Its weird

 

This same exact thing happened to me also. I know for sure I had lost the jet that takes off and I had lost the my wanted level, I flew over the last mountain into the city and out of nowhere a jet spawned behind me and instantly killed me.

Yes, the Lazer appears instantly without time to take off on the runway. I think it's done wrong! Another thing, when we fly over the Military base, we do not have the military in the base that speaks to us on the radio saying ''You fly prohibited airspace, please leave this space or you will be destroyed''

It does not give us warning, unlike in story mode. And the Buzzards rarely are in the base, such as Cargo Aircraft elsewhere! It is VERY RARE to see all vehicles [Truck, Cargo aircraft, Lazer-P996, Tank, Buzzard] Military present in the base when we are in session Online.

I don't have a fancy capture card but I have a really sh*tty one from a long time ago. So here's a sh*t quality video with a very sh*tty ending because frames dropped like crazy.

 

 

 

Oh and you get to see a little trick I use. Climbing onto the wing saves you a couple seconds, which is more than enough time to avoid a tank.

Nap of the Earth, OP - I know everyone is saying to fly straight up, but that gets you chased by missiles and jets - you can shake them, but it takes time. If you instead stay really low, you can drop down into the river delta and get away that way - no missiles, no jets. Just stay so low you have to dodge trees and you'll get away easily - once you're a few miles from the base, you can go ballistic to lose the regular cops.

 

The point of tension is as you cross the fenceline at the base - if they're going to get you at all, it'll be there. It's a good place to suddenly change direction.

God-eater just watch the video I posted a few minutes ago. You seem to have listed many extra steps to get a jet, however I did it much, much easier. Basically you get into the base, note on the map where the tank spawns are (they spawn in front of the hangers and behind them, you will see multiple red dots appear if it is tanks), climb the wing of the jet to steal it faster, fly low over the fence, and you're good. No jets chasing you down.

I never really used the jets, but I tested a few of these methods. First, I tried flying straight up like some said, but the jet still spawns behind you, so I tried the method you're talking about next. Viola, got away sneaky clean.

there are two jets. one on the runway and another one that spawns out of nowhere directly behind you. it wont appear on the minimap, make any noise and it can fire invisible explosions from any direction. I know its coming. I switch to the view to see behind me and watch a jet just appear. so I circle back and get behind the only enemy jet in the sky. there isn't a missile lock, no warning beeps, the enemy jet is directly in front of me. there is no reason for why I suddenly explode and then spawn on the road just in time to get nailed by an npc car going 200mph.

 

rockstar trolls the forums to counter tactics players come up with. the classic fly straight up strategy has been messed with. I posted the other day that after I was killed by some random explosion in mid air I was then spawn trapped by two npc jets. for ten minutes they circled my character and griefed me.

Jump fence, parachute in, fly in etc, then get into a jet facing north by the runway, do a U-turn while on the ground. At this point you should be facing south with the main runway in front of you, cut across the runway while still on the ground, and takeoff only when you are just about to crash into the fence. No NPC jet spawns after you.

If you were a competent pilot, you could easily take it out. It's been there for a while.

If you fly straight up and click right stick to look down, you can see the Lazer take off, loop over it and shoot it down.

One of the first lessons in flight school and after a day or two some guy makes a thread asking what are they preparing us for and hints at shark cards. you just can't make it up.

How do you steal a jet fighter anyway? Whenever I try it Im getting shot while trying to exit the cockpit. There are just so many soldiers everywhere...

I can never steal a jet clean because as soon as my dude gets in the jet I usually have 2-3 tanks spawn and kill me. I usually go for the Jet inside the big hangar, but I've never been able to get away without a stupid tank blowing me up before I even get out. It's infuriating, US Army bases don't have effing TANK PATROLS!
