Won't let me play GTA

I load up my game and it gets to the screen shot of the 50% off merryweather services and it just loads, music stops and nothing after 10 min. I deleted my game data and reloaded it already. Any suggestions? Also for got to mention this is happening when i even try to just load the game up not only online.

Check your disk for scratches or smudges. After a week of not being able to play online and doing just about everything there was to do to try and fix the problem with none of that working, this morning I just simply cleaned the disk and bam online worked.

I hadn't tried it since yesterday so I don't know if that actually fixed it or maybe over night Rockstar fixed the problem for the few people who couldn't access online for reasons unknown. But give it a shot and see what happens.

Disc is clean. I dont know what else to try. I can play any other game but GTA.

Ok now i get the game to load offline. I sign in and try to go to multi and it tells me something like "Failed to download server information try again later" is it just problem with R*?

For a long time , since about patch 1.11, I have found it at times almost impossible to get online. Here's what I do and since I've been doing it my problems getting online have minimised greatly. 1st and foremost (unfortunately you must be online to do this....) change spawn location to 'last location'. I know you can't get there. so do this. Change from Micheal to Franklin or Trev. Go to 'closed crew' or 'friend' session. Host or join a job. At the end of the job select 'freemode'. I think it's a 'back door' to the game. A way in with less traffic. I also turn my headset on and off frequently while online is loading. This WORKS for me as sometimes when nothing seems to be happening this jolts the game into action. Remember, if you get to online to change your spawn location. My theory is everyone is using the front doors, while the back doors are empty? I DONT believe the problems have anything to do with anyones console.... just sh*tty servers.

You shouldn't have to do this in the first place......
