IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK TO MAKE IT OPTIONAL???

Seriously of all the settings they didn't include a way to seperate radio music from ambient music?

^^This^^ I hate the BGM in all games. Breaks immersion. Movies have BGM in scenes, because it makes it more interesting. Even though its unrealistic and doesnt exist in real life. I know GTA is not 'realistic' in its entirety. But real guns/cars and sirens sound way better without the cheesy 'hollywood' BGM, IMHO.

I didn't mind it too much in SP but the audio score during online missions really gets on my nerves, I feel like when I turn off the radio I want silence not some blaring, overly obnoxious music playing. They really need to implement a feature that allows you turn the musical score off without having to turn off all music.

f*ckin hate it. I like the radio but hate the score. I prefer how the older gtas didnt have scores.

I guess it would be nice to have an option to turn off the original score and keep the radio, but I personally feel like a lot of the original score tracks are better than most of the radio. The only thing that annoys me is how almost every time you get into an air vehicle and turn the radio off it plays that one track. It's a cool track, but it's just that it plays nearly every time you get on air and don't want to listen to the radio.

Wish there was an option to turn ambient background music off without having to turn radios off.

Also wish you could set a default radio station so your character will always switch to that station when they get in a car.

mmm chocolate

I would rather have mission music than radio.

Would also rather have the option to turn both of or on.

Radio music - off

Mission music - on

I turned music volume to zero in 2013. Playing with my music on a nice system, it's incredible.

OP, try that. It's a simple solution.

MagicNarcosis

But it's the same stupid tune, every-friggin-time.

Aye, man. They could give us 3-4 that felt different from one another.

Splinter Cell did an amazing job syncing the score intensity with interactions + a great orchestra/conductor on the score. You'd think with all the money they spent, they'd have a variety of tension scores for shootouts, stealth and etc.

Most of it is annoying, there's a few missions that have a good score (IIRC they're missions where you fight the Lost MC and it's a badass guitar track).

But yeah, I wish there was a separate option to turn off the score and not turn off the radio.

Lost MC missions have a remix of the loading theme from TLAD, it's pretty nice. On topic it is pretty annoying especially when you want to hear where the bullets are coming from.

It doesn't bother me at all. I don't really notice it, but if I'm in a vehicle I just switch on radio if the mission music does bother me.

Denial of Service is the absolute worst.

Reminds me of an 80's gameshow that was immediately canceled after the pilot.

I may have to turn the music on just to see what this is all about, it's been off since the second day I played the game.
