Mission music isn't so bad, but I would much rather listen to the radio by equipping headphones.

Better still, why don't ear defenders muffle gunfire/explosions/bangs but not ambient noise...

Nope, the music on the radio stations and 12yo swaggers/french people do bug the living crap out of me. I always end up pressing start, go to players/mute and soon after player/report/voice chat annoying me followed by a kick vote.

I liked it a lot at first, but after playing GTA for quite a while it gets really, really old.

The background music in the Simeon mission GTA Today is awesome though.

I keep all the game music off, it's repetitive. I turn on my stereo and play whatever i like.

The music in Missions/DM/TDM is perfect. I actually have all of the Mission Soundtracks saved on Youtube in addition to the actual The full "The Score" release, when I'm doing work I pop them on and crank the speakers. The Soundtrack and its variants in GTAV is simply, amazing.

No because the music is all bull there is not enough MSX FM IN YO MUDDAAH

Honestly though.. 70% of the time my speakers aren't plugged in and I listen to my own music. Makes the game like a 'playable musical score' with the right activity/vehicle/objective.

I like the music, it can make a mission more intense, but sometimes they feel out of place. I was doing a mission for Simeon to check the new payout for it, and during the mission the parachuting/flying music played.

I actually quite liked that background music, but I couldn't deal with being forced to listen to Channel X every time I got in to a car, seriously, it was always the worst station that came on. Had Music off for a while now, and not really regretted it. Although, miss Radio Mirror Park.

I wish you could just mix up the songs your own way in a Playlist. There's songs I like, but you have to crawl through glass just to listen to them lol.

No because I can stream music from my laptop to my 360 which automatically disables all in game music.

Doesn't bother me at all. Background music seems to make almost anything epic.

If popular movies didn't have an epic soundtrack in the background, it would suck.

IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK TO MAKE IT OPTIONAL???

Seriously of all the settings they didn't include a way to seperate radio music from ambient music?

When certain one's play yes and yes even more. It's as if R* thought playing missions would make players feel like they're in movies like Die Hard, (Any) James Bond film and the last scene of 21 Jump Street.

Well they're far from that. Missions right now feel like doing errands since most of them have a very repetitious objective, Looking at you Rooftop Rumble, For god's sake the only mission that makes you feel like your in a movie, Even a little bit, Is 'The Los Santos Connection'. Since it takes a while to complete, it get's fun knowing there's a lot of action to go through before you get the payment (Which is now acceptable BTW), You go from stealing a car and taking out a bunch of goon's to ambushing a group of guard's that are protecting a guy who's about to leave the country.

Sorry for the long paragraph but it's true.

Last time I voted on this I said it was alright,

But now that I got a headset and I am trying to hear people this sh*t is f*cking irritating.

Yes, I am honestly starting to hate it. I like the soundtracks themselves but no... just no. There should be an option to turn down the volume of OST. I don't want to miss out Sleepwalking, Baker Street, Radio Gaga, Ogden's Nut Gone Flake, or Ambitionz as a Ridah just because of this stupid development choice.

yeah sometime the music in the background can be very wack and annoying. but there are some songs that are good during a shoot out mission. we should be able to buy ifruit pods and listen to music when were not in a car because wtf is the use of those headphones in the game if we can even use them

I'm sure somebody worked very hard on it but it would be nice to have an option to turn it off. I said it in another thread the bitch and moan one I think, about the music is there to make things seem more epic than they actually are. Another reason I don't bother with missions

They annoy me. When I'm not listening to the radio, I want silence and the sound of my car's engine. And I have to switch to some talk radio

The only time I hear the Tangerine Dream music is when I'm round at my brothers because he leaves the radio volume high and I turned the radio volume to 0 because I got sick of listening to music I don't like.

I wish there was an option to turn on the 'event' music without having to endure the radio music, because I've loved Tangerine Dream for many years and it's a shame the only way I can listen to them in the game is to constantly keep setting the music volume or keep turning the radio off with the digital pad every time I get into a vehicle.

It makes the game feel more alive and fun

I agree, but the music played in Online gets repetitive as a lot of the same songs are played, there's usually no specific track for a mission so you may hear the same one a lot. While in single-player, the tracks you posted are used in only 2 missions at most (except for the Wanted one, of course).

The music irks me because of the repetition that comes from playing so much. I've literally heard it all before. The only Online mission I remember having a specific track is GTA Today, and I liked it more because I like the song in general.
