it does explain why my massacro with tuner tires seemed to be handling curbs a lot different than my other cars

always assumed it was the car itself but I geuss now I'll have to do some experimentation with different tires on the other cars.

 

not sure if I'll just slap off road on all of them since they sure are ugly, but I geuss checking the other wheel classes couldn't hurt

 

also, just love the way he says "kerbs" throughout the entire video, what kind of accent is that?

He's English?, Kerbs is correct pronunciation. How do you say it?.

I couldn't quite match my Turismo smooth time in the Zentorno.. Interesting.. It had the potential but hasn't gained as much in this as the Turismo. Will try my Massacro because it's pretty bouncy.

Nice to know there is no difference in lap times for any tire on smooth surfaces. I think some more off-road testing needs to be done. Maybe do some off-road lap times. To see if the improved hit box of off-road tires helps improve lap times with various bumps off-road. Or find a steep hill and see if off-road tires can climb further or faster. I think I'll look into it.

Tires makes absolutely no difference in performance. I'm definitely sure we'll see a Tire Stat in the next generation systems though.

I watched it and then I tried it myself and had the same results, all my racing cars now have off-road tyres fitted whether it be my Zentorno or my Z-type.

It doesn't even matter. Putting off-road wheels on a sports car is a crime.

They look good on a Buffalo though.

 

I can speak for anyone with taste when I say they do not.

Normally I'm opposed to blanket statements in regards to personal opinions but in this case you are right. Off road wheels belong on trucks or some SUV's not sports cars.

So I tested a few cars. It makes things a little more complex regarding setup. Because you don't really need standard height springs to stop the light cars bouncing around with these tyres. You can now tighten up the springs which helps offset the doughy feeling from these tyres. Finding the perfect feel and balance between tyre and spring takes a while. In any case last night I beat all my existing Zentorno race times in my Turismo. I noticed my 7 lap race time on cutting corners is 11th in the world with the Zentorno and I smashed that time in the Turismo easily by more than a second for each of the seven laps. I couldn't beat the Turismo with the Zentorno with off road tyres either. They seem very evenly matched now, I am doing low 54 second laps in both, both will do a 53 eventually but I think the Turismo maybe the quickest...? so I wondering what other cars will gain a lot like the Turismo does. It made very little difference to the Massacro.

R* need to tighten up the stats so a racing wheel performs better on flat tarmac

 

And i gotta say time gained is not worth it compared to credibility, style and immersion lost

Good find, I use to put all off road tires on my cars. Granted they all look retarded as f*ck but I would always win races lol and I thought meh.. It's just a placebo effect
