A suggestion for the Bersa

This guy's been playing too much Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception.

 

The Fenrir, an experimental jet in ACX, is used by the Alect Squadron. This jet has dual cannons and a special weapon that can fire an enormous explosion. It's also not the most maneuverable plane in the game.

EDIT: I got the idea of a large missile not from the Fenrir, but actually from the cruise missile fired from the bombers in BF4 >.>

Lol! Just incase, I wasn't bagging on you. ACX is a terrific and underrated game. I still play it from time to time, especially to hear the awesome soundtrack.

 

Regarding your suggestion: I don't think many people agree because the Besra is supposed to be a training jet, so it wouldn't be armed. I think your idea could work if a new plane was created entirely, and the abilities you suggested for the Besra were carried over to that new plane.

I'm probably the odd-guy out on this, but I think the whole idea of military jets and tanks and such is just ridiculous in this game.

I just spent about ten minutes under a bridge ducking out from a jet player who wanted my bounty.

 

Finally, I was just like, "scaroo this!" and changed sessions. Dude wouldn't let it go.

So, while I dig your ideas, I would just like to see jets and tanks go away, like a canker sore.

How can this happen to someone? I play GTAO since November last year and the only time someone tried to kill me with a jet resulted in him crashing into a building.. There was also that time when 2 guys were bounty hunting and the only thing they did was fly for 2 minutes over me shooting rockets and then disappeared in the city trying to do something productive... Does that happen to you on a daily basis? Because I would love a session where people actually do hunts and play together.

Hey, @D.A., the thing with other players hunting me down is common, especially when one of them throws a bounty on me.

 

My play style is such that I, admittedly, often initiate their pursuits by being a complete tool and killing as many other players as I can when I enter a session that is asleep.

I enjoy being the rooster who runs in, shoots players, then takes off a short distance away, taunting them to follow. Some players are good and catch/kill me quickly, but most times they are not so good and I'll repeat kill them over and over.

I enjoy rousing a dead lobby to life, is all.

 

However, it's usually the case that sometimes players get really piffy and run and get a tank or a jet. Then it just becomes annoying. Tanks aren't so bad because you can still attack them. But jets are different... harder to hit the player. I've done it with the sniper rifle a few times, but it's very tough when they're darting around.

 

Anyway, what were we talking about?

Would be fun for missions, but way too overpowered for free roam. I mean, a barrage of 14 mini-rockets?

They should just give the Besra a simple defensive capability, like dropping flares. It'll never happen, but just an idea.

Well if that's so then the problem isn't in the game,it's the people who go for jets,and it's unfair if they got nerfed just because someone can't enjoy killing in GTAO. Literally,you would have to show me a player that actually manages to kill me with a jet. I've been playing since November all the jet people I met fly around me for 2 minutes then crash into a building,jets aren't a problem,there are things that need fixing like bugs and exploits but the jets are fine as they are,you have to go to Zancudo,get it out,and actually know how to fly the damn thing,and even then you have to be pretty good to actually kill someone. I don't even see jets anymore. Tanks however,were tough if you run right into one...and only then... Tanks are slow and you can escape on foot...they're also nerfed now so... Really,to me it seems you have to really WANT to get griefed on...to actually get griefed on.

I'd want it to be a two seater with the same miniguns that the Buzzard has (no rockets). That'd be pretty interesting to fly/dogfight with.
