Cudwieser
Got a bit of disappointing (if somewhat petty) news , that Car town on Facebook ended at midnight tonight. Not a big loss in the scheme of things but I was kind of getting into it so it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. It also highlighted a common gripe (even if you don't get it at first), namely a lack of effective communication. Has anyone gotten into something only for it to be terminated without warning? how much did it annoy you and what did you do about it?

mareepx
A facebook game called Empires and Allies. Although later in it's life it was killing itself anyway with it almost forcing you to use micro-transactions.

Cudwieser
@paj: they did announce it on their forum, which is all well and good, but if all you want to do is play the game or are so involved that you haven't wanted to check the forum (I'll be a little more honest and say that I don't usually go to a forum unless i have a problem with something or need some advice. Very few things I absolutely enjoy that I need to go to a forum just to express myself. After that I might stick around and join the fun if there is any fun going on (some forums are pretty dead)) then it is a bit of a kick in the balls that without something as simple as a message on the title page or ticker that something is closed or significantly altered. RyanBurnsRed
I used to play a game called Friends for Sale on Facebook way back in the day. It was a sort of like a social game where you could customize your profile like MySpace with backgrounds, music, etc. and you would buy and trade people not only on your friends list, but other Facebook users as well. The more you trade, the more money you got. It was pretty fun. I got to learn HTML and got to have conversations with people I've never even met. They shut it down some years ago and I was pretty disappointed. I think that may have been the last Facebook I've ever played.
