As much as I dislike the wipes and shiz. When everyone has money...the sessions are normally filled by utter glorious chaos and fun. People actually try to kill each other and all out wars/battles breakout. May not be everyone's cup-o-tea, but I enjoy those moments.....usually.

i wouldn't mind getting billions back, i had a power outage that knocked out all of my games so i lost my 251 character with everything i bought. i had every pegasus vehicle and now it really blows

It's purely a PS3 issue...I've not seen it on xbox at all. I can't see a wipe coming if it's only system related. Also, I thought they implemented checks to automatically adjust bounties.

Had billions before when I was gifted it; was great for the first few hours, but got boring after I bought everything. Game felt hollow. Having the cash removed, and learning to appreciate earning it, made the game worthwhile again. I don't want to go through with that sh!t again.

 

With the measures they have in place now, anyone gifted billions will just have it taken away anyway, and get sent to the Cheater's Pool, or worse. Is it really worth it?

Umm... Only the people giving those bounties should be reported. Those that are receiving or claiming the bounty can't control what bounty amount was put on the given player.

Don't sweat it - R* only took hacked money last time - the only people who went flat broke were those who spent more than they had - the wipe took away the hacked money but left in the costs of anything you bought (which is why everyone got to keep everything they bought).

That's bullsh*t. I've seen a bunch of players who were legit players, some of them even purchased cash cards, and still had their money wiped. There were plenty of complaint threads in the support forums about this after the wipe. Some of them even got refunded.

He never said anything about them being "greedy". Simply that it would mean Online would all come down to shark cards, and Shark cards are how they make money.

 

That doesn't make them greedy, but some of you fools (not saying you) seem to think they have zero influence over anything.

 

If money were stupidly easy to come by, no one would purchase shark cards which would hurt sales.

 

As a company, would you purposely sabotage potential profits?

According to TwoDynamic, the Xbox Support forums are full of people reporting the issue (I wouldn't put my full trust in a YouTuber though), so I rather suspect its an issue with the game itself.

It's funny, a modder in my lobby got everyone together by sharing his ability with us, He gave us explosive ammo, tazer, a damn fire extinguisher and many more random items. We actually all stopped killing each other and went on a rampage against the police. After that, we started to have fun with the tazer.

 

But, in a normal lobby? Where you have to worry about ammo and money? All you find are people on Zentornos reverse killing you and spawn killing.

 

I don't know what you guys think that shows, but I know for sure that the best days of GTA:O where back in the billionaire days when no one had to worry about anything.

lol its funny how we hyped that rockstar will patch and fix these issues but the hackers/modders were ready. They were like "as soon as rockstar releases 1.17 we'll show them that rockstar can't do sh*t". idk no way stopping them but if rockstar swipes out everyones money I'm done with this game i hope everyone els is too like a "protest" against rockstar + Serves them right for f*cking us with this prototype game

Give me a break. Rockstar could have never accounted for all of the ways that hackers or people with nothing better to do with their time could find to break this game. You think it's a bigger issue with GTA than it is with other games... It's not. It's just as bad in other games, especially CoD.
