As much as I dislike the wipes and shiz. When everyone has money...the sessions are normally filled by utter glorious chaos and fun. People actually try to kill each other and all out wars/battles breakout. May not be everyone's cup-o-tea, but I enjoy those moments.....usually.

Wait.... but didn't R* patched the code so that the max payout was max bounty? So only a graphical glitch did remain.... (it's showing millions/billions but only pays out the max R* has set in the files)

this is just what we needed. Another money wipe, i was rich before the hacked billions and had my resources stripped from me. After busting my ass and getting rich again it seems i'll be stripped of my cash again

They won't be back.. And they don't work.. The person who takes the bounty doesn't get the money, or get to keep it, and the person who puts that bounty on someone gets pretty much insta-banned.

I read up on this on a mod forum and apparently they got it to work to GET the bounty set, but just that. And the people who put the bounty on other people pretty much get banned instantly.

So don't worry.. If ya'll did haha

lol its funny how we hyped that rockstar will patch and fix these issues but the hackers/modders were ready. They were like "as soon as rockstar releases 1.17 we'll show them that rockstar can't do sh*t". idk no way stopping them but if rockstar swipes out everyones money I'm done with this game i hope everyone els is too like a "protest" against rockstar + Serves them right for f*cking us with this prototype game

Don't sweat it - R* only took hacked money last time - the only people who went flat broke were those who spent more than they had - the wipe took away the hacked money but left in the costs of anything you bought (which is why everyone got to keep everything they bought).

 

So, if you had a million, got given 100 million, and spent 500K, after the wipe you had 500K (assuming you earned nothing in the meantime, for the sake of argument).

 

However, if you had a million, got given 100 million, and spent 10 million, after the wipe you were stone cold broke (but still had 9 million bucks worth of stuff that you technically shouldn't).

 

Assuming that hacked Bounties really are back, protecting yourself is simple; take note of how much you were given and do not spend any of it. The easiest way to do this is to stick all the cash into the pocket of a second character and then leave them idle until R* sorts it out. For those who already have a second character, someone has to go on hiatus till the wipe (although you can transfer the cash back and forth if you can be bothered).

 

For those with the presence of mind to do it, the ultimate defense is to dashboard your console withing a few seconds of getting the hacked money - as long as you go directly to the dashboard (or power off, for the more draconian among us) you should get out before the data saves to the cloud - when you go back in, you should have no hacked Bounty/Cash. You have to be quick, tho - especially if it was a Bounty, as the very act of placing it will trigger a cloud save.

As much as i enjoyed the 18 billion i had i really dont want to be gifted money again. Learned my lesson the first time, the wipe left me with 0 in the bank and 0 cash lol

Yes me too i'm turning my game on as we speak I hope im not disappointed I could really do with the money as I want to buy a jet not for trolling purposes but for flying around the map while im stoned purposes

I don't care, i'm trying it, anyway if I get banned for using glitched money..... well that just proves gta online is all about the cash cards and that's not an online experience I have any interest in, This game is stale the money will make it fun again so it's worth the risk

Honestly the community is the same. In the billionaire days we had money to be more violent but money to be more fun and friendly. More people played back then because the game was awesome and fun. Back then I already had 20 days worth of gameplay. Now I only have maybe 30, 35. GTA Online got so boring after the billionaire days ended.
