As Take two has their pockets full there shareholders may see this time as perfect for a sell. In this capitalist world shareholders pressure companys to value themselves so they can sell it later for many times the price of acquisition. First of all, Rockstar would never take any of Activision's sh*t, they'd rather publish their games on their own. Second of all, even if this happens, why does everyone think they would force Rockstar to annual releases? Its not like every god damn Activison game has annual achedules and annual games are not even build in one year. Assassin's creed games for example are build up in advance, in 3 years and they are actually the only annual franchise who does make some changes and can pull meaty games but that's actually Ubisoft. Last time this happened they got the company's to lay there cards on the table then shut down negotiations. I think they just have to show to shareholders they are willing to look at offers in the interest of there investment. And I think the same thing will happen again. Ash_735 Posted August 31, 2014 Share Posted August 31, 2014 Take-2 have just made like record breaking profits in the last year, I doubt they will just let themselves be bought out when they're doing perfectly fine and have been in profit for years thanks to franchises like Borderlands, etc, and stuff from 2K padding out the rest of the year and of course the near yearly Rockstar title (which if I recall, only Max Payne 3 bombed). Imagine this, with T2 telling they have a big money offer on them, plus with V next to the door and the possibility of making a huge amount of sales and the chance of at least double the shark card profits because of the new added players to the online world and with the expectation of some new Single Player paid DLC's ... imagine how high their shares can go... In order for a business like this to happen ACTIVISION would have to offer something like 5 Billion - 10 Billion and some extras. T2 also owns other big titles like RDR, MAFIA, BIOSHCOK, BORDERLANDS, the 2K sports and a lot of others...
