I defo will get this. Driveclub was a nice game, but i hope this one will be way better. Is there any customization options available, exterior and performance wise? Those were the things that were missing in driveclub, thats why the game become boring so quick.

A livery editor will be released in a patch later on.

No performance parts upgrades as the cars are replicas of true racing cars with the best parts already on them.

You will be able to extensively tune them though.

Yeah i think it's official. I'm getting this along with a thrustmaster. I couldn't stop thinking about this game ever since i posted on the last page.

I actually like that there are no performance upgrades. I understand if and why people aren't fond of it, but i can live without it. My only concern is the replayablity if the grinding for better parts isn't present, but from what i've seen so far the content will more than make up for it.

I grabbed the T100 from B&H at a great price. Has force feedback & not much of a higher cost then the poorly constructed T80. Certainly worth looking into if you are on a budget like me but dont want the T80 POS.

I wanted a T300 so i could add the shifter & better pedal set, but simply could not justify the cost of the T300 plus the extras for it.

I'm getting the t100 as well. I can't give up the force feedback. It costs considerably more than the t80 here, but if i'm spending that kind of money to begin with getting the t80 would be like throwing money out the window. On top of throwing money out the window.

I'm just worried because i've heard the t100 doesn't respond the very best. I'm not sure if it's determined by the game, but i've heard driveclub has dodgy response to it at times. It's fully supported on the ps4, right?

The T100 isnt an official PS4 wheel, so i cant say for sure what games are all supported by it.

Where are you from tuareg?

Driveclub is definitly supported. Not sure about the crew, but i've seen people playing it with the t100. That could have been pc gameplay though i'm not sure.

I'm currently located in Hungary.

Soo uhh... Is there anyone suffering any issues with loading screen freezes or crashing mid race on PC when loading/racing at Le Mans? I'm a try before you buy sort of person and I was wondering if the legitimate version of the game has these problems.

So are people satisfied with the amount of cars in the game?

Should I pick this up for PC? or wait for the weaker version on the Wii U with Motion controls...?

Is it worth to get the game? How is the compared to Driveclub? How does car engines/exhaust sound compared to DC?

Never played DC due to horrible review. Ive only done a few races with Pcars so far, but im enjoying it thus far. The higher powered vehicles are far trickier to drive.

Need to get my wheel set up....

Project Cars does look awesome, however DC looks more realistic to me. Especially after the new update the graphics even look better and the cars handle much smoother. Watching the video, both games have their own quality. I'll probably end up buying Project cars if there isnt a new racing game coming out soon. I'll still choose DC over Project Cars tho.

After watching DC's review i thought the game was sh*t as well. But after buying it i realized that it is a awesome game. I even bought almost all car packs/DLC's, lol.

I almost picked DC up a couple of times while waiting for Pcars to release. Maybe should have, but not looking to start fresh on 2 racing games at the same time.

Liking this game more after each race though. Each car certainly has its own unique characteristics & feel.

Enough about Driveclub. My wallet is out and im looking at the marketplace. How's the feel. Are the cars floaty? How does it stack against Forza?

The cars are not floaty at all. Its been a while since ive played a racing sim, but it surpasses any console sim ive touched.

GT3 class has been my favourite so far.

Thanks. Other than Forza, the last console game I played that really rustled my jimmys, was Grid: Autosport. I was watching ISR's review of the Xbox One version of Project Cars. 45 car fields really have me sold. I'm trying to find out if I can customize the fields themselves to run multiple classes. If so, I ccould buy a wheel and start my "side by side" races back again with various Enduros.

Unfortunately i only had about 3 hours with the game since launch, but i'm probably going to play it until my eyes bleed today.

Driving feels excellent, not floaty at all. The sounds really immerse you and get you into the zone. I had a hard time putting the game down because of the sound of the engines roaring alone.

Also, the AI is no pushover. I'm not bad at driving, but they put up a challenge and i mean a CHALLENGE even on 50%. I could play the freeroam mode for months knowing myself, but the career mode will have me occupied for a long time just because of how good the AI is.

Had some issues on azure coast where my lap constantly gets invalidated because after driving through the finish line the "autopilot" on your car just slams it all around. Other than that it seems like a polished game thus far.

The car list isn't huge and it isn't small. It's kind of between the two, so i wouldn't call it "car porn", but the gameplay definitely makes it "driving/racing porn". So if you like racing game you won't feel disappointed.

I agree that the AI really does put up a challenge. I had a rather difficult time putting it down last night as well. Kept telling myself, just one more qick one lol.

I briefly touched on the career mode before heading to bed, but it seems to be very well thought out & in depth. Looking forward to continuing with that tonight.

@hvcciookay not every race is capable of supporting the full 45 car field, but its certainly awesome running with that many other cars on the track!!

As for the car list, i agree its not huge nor small, but adding more variety wouldnt hurt. Im a huge Mazda fan and would love to see the 787b added, along with their diesel LMP2 car. Might need to contact SMS and make a request ;)

Just picked this up, glad to see some good reviews before I play it, just installing on Xbox one now, me and my pal are going to have a full day of it see how it stacks up against Forza, must say the 45 car grids had me excited too, did you watch the Daytona video?

Not got a wheel but had plenty of practice using controller and manual now so hopefully shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I'll report back once I've given it a spin.

Wow! What a great game. The simulation is excellent and many cars feels like a dream using my wheel. It's no Forza or Gran Turismo when it comes to variety, but it has easily the best track list of any game ever. I love how each car as different to one another and the amount of tuning and tweaking the suspension really sold it to me. The amount of cars that are able to race is already a great feature within the game. The Lotus 72D Cosworth and Ayrton Senna's Lotus 98T are absolute monsters and they are great F1 cars and I'm thankful for SMS to include those cars. Formula A is awesome as well, and I love the open ended structure that this game have.

IMO it's better than GT and Forza, but it does not have the amount of personalization or the variety of those games. I love both GT and Forza and I'm looking forward to both Forza 6 and GT7, but Project CARS solidify my racing experience.

In contrast to Driveclub, PCARS is not even comparable to DC. DC is a great game with fantastic visuals, but it's an arcade racer, not a simcade like GT or Forza, nor it is full sim like PCARS or Assetto Corsa. So it's not comparable.

As far as I have read, the Xbox One version is at 66% on Metacritic compared to 84% on PC and PS4. I want to buy the XOne version, but I eventually went on the PS4 version, especially my wheel being compatible only on PS4 and PC. The Xbox One version is reported to have performance and lobby issues. I hope that SMS will fix that in an update soon.

XB1 also doesnt run at full 1080p which is rather sad, but not unexpected IMO.

I tried the gocart for the first time on the cali highway with 35 opponents. I figured if i'm playing a hardcore racing sim i might as well go hard.

Anyway i gave up halfway through and decided to do the same race with the bmw 1m. It was crowded, but i managed to finish first eventually. Seeing such a long line of cars was pretty stunning. Can't say i ever saw anything like that on console.

I do think it's time to raise the AI difficulty though.

Just downloaded (almost) Project Cars. I've only access to one trial race at the minute while the application day downloads. While I can't give a full opinion, so far I'm impressed with what little I've played. I've seen reviews saying it is better than GT and, while I'm a GT fan, it must be said they may have a point. I'll reserve final judgement until I've played the game properly, but it must be said that the driving in this game is a bit more realistic than GT, a bit more accessable than you'd think (arcaders will be dismayed, but try a bit of finesse and it'll surprise you how rewarding the game can be) and if the game learns from the mistakes of GT 6, it may well live up to some of the hype. Once I get a better run at the game I'll be back with a more comprehensive view.

It's better than both Gran Turismo and Forza in the simulation and racing aspect, but it lacks the variety that GT and FM have. Still, it's a better game than GT5 and FM5. I consider GT6 to be at the same level as PCARS in enjoyment. I don't know about longevity on PCARS though. I love it, it's incredibly enjoyable.

As a game GT6 is worse than GT5. GT6 was what GT5 was meant to be, but unfortunately Poly did more to GT5, things that GT6 has had left out or downplayed. Also GT6 suffers badly from the same thing that heads most conspiracies in GTA5, micro-transactions. It is still a good racing game with a decent online community, but you need to be a bit more hardline to play it often enough to afford anything, much less do it up. I will finish this point when I see the entirety of Project, but in the interim Project is shaping up as a better game IMO.

Project cars (so far) has proven to be as good as GT6 in terms of simulation and a little better weighted too. GT6 is still very playable but I reckon Project uses the input better. In terms of content Project may be limited, but with GT a little bloated on past success, Project has room to build and potentially embarrass Polophony with more DLC. Let us wait until GT7 to see if Polophony learns anything.

Micro transactions are quite useless in GT6. The Red Bull Standard Championship gives more than 3,000,000 credits in 30 minutes while GTA V's micro transactions are game breaking and the in game missions and heists offer so low than it should be. I grinded less than 2 hours for a Ferrari 250 GTO while in GTA V, grinding for a Hydra will take more than 10 hours of continous grinding. I enjoyed GT6 as a whole, but it has it's own flaws as well. Some of the standards are improved, but the sounds are still utter sh*te.

SMS did a good job with this game especially with limited resources, and it's better than the EA backed Shift 2 Unleashed. PDI are hiring lot's of people and they hired a former Forza Audio Lead for improving car sounds. Let's just wait until the game gets released.
