Because they're fun, but R* made the 'economy' so retarded that it takes everyone being a Billionaire for them to get used enough.

 

I was level 110 before anyone called a mugger on me (got the achievement then).

 

Edit: For more evidence R* wants these used more, see the recent bump to 10K for a mugger's take.

I use this for effect occasionally on cruises and whatnot - but it has NEVER proved useful, and never given me backup.

 

Am I doing something wrong or is it really this sh*t?

Because believe it or not, it's really damn easy to get money now. With these discounts i'll be making more profit on "High Priority Case"

I know this has been beaten to death, but I can't help but laugh when someone mentions how easy it is to make money after the patch. This, of course, is assuming that it was hard to make money prior to the patch, which it wasn't. In fact, you could make twice as much RP and money in half the time that you can now. Sure, maybe if you were only pulling in like 50k an hour doing crappy lowbie missions then I can see how you'd be "making more", but truth is, it's no easier to make money now than it ever was; now it's just more time consuming. The only benefit (if you care to call it that) is that you can just do more repititious and mundane missions over a longer period of time to earn it. Yay, the same basic objective over and over and over again with a different mission name and location! How fun!

 

On the subject of 50% off services no one ever uses, I think their efforts would have been better off by making the same discount apply across the board for everything (cars, mods, guns, attachments, clothes, apartments, etc.). I don't think I've called Lester or Merryweather in ages. Their services are just not practical enough.

As a person lvl 100+ it would be pointless... But maybe not so much for lower levels like 55 and under. Honestly we'd appreciate a X2 cash weekend like they did before the high life update (I think) to give players chance to grind a bunch of cash for the next update.....

Look at that false advertisement, we don't have a glock in the game. Same goes for his outfit. My prediction 1.17 coming after this week. It will have a glock pistol. Notice how they only make new art for new DLC, How they went out of their way last week to announce that 12GB PlayStations won't work on 1.17. They usually theme their art with the DLC. My hope goes for heists.

Off radar to get more kills. Airstrike to kill guys on the roof. Mercs to slow people down. Bounties to get someone to kill a runner. Blind eye for obvious reasons.

In case you have not noticed, every weekend event is focused on something they see in their statistics is not recieving enough attention. Whether it be boats or planes or parachuting or capture mode or package drops or in this case services. The events have nothing to do with what fans want. It is always about increasing the use of assets they spent money on developing.
