linx should be ashamed. tounge.gif

Oh I am.

We've lost 4 players because they didn't do their f*cking homework.

No joke.

Those f*cking selectors are a pack of wankers. Seriously, they don't get to play because they didn't do a self-assessment? What kind if bullsh*t is this? angry.gif

Chandila. Chavan and Sreeshanth caught in Spot fixing in IPL. Link? Turn on your damn TV. Ferocious you got it bang on target, dude.

I'm not sure if Lincoln watches IPL, quite a few Aussies are playing here. tounge.gif (Alot actually)

Damn the bump.

Certainly looks like an India-England final at this point, what a terrible performance by South Africa.

Also, what the hell is wrong with Australia, they crashed out of the tournament with like, 1 point?

To be honest, Dhoni has had everything on a silver platter and had to do very little. He was lucky enough to be the captain of a team blessed with youngsters with great talent. Not saying he's a bad captain, it's just that he's had it easy.

If I had to choose the best captain India ever had, it would be Ganguly because he had to take over a pretty sh*tty team embroiled in the Azharuddin-Jadeja match fixing scandal. To turn such a team into decent winners takes a damn good captain and at the time, Ganguly was just what India needed.

Late reply tounge.gif

Nope, it's only on cable television over here unfortunately, and we havEnt had cable since those bastards effed up.

Wish I could, would've been good in the days of warnie. tounge.gif

Shame about us Aussies at the moment. We are in our worst form in the past 10 years.

Good work to India for blowing the competition away. icon14.gif

I don't disagree with you at all. The main reason why Saurav was what India has already been written by you.

Dhoni sure is a great captain But he's more what Ricky was for Australia - Already had a great team to lead.

But if the latest win is anything to go by, it shows that Dhoni has the potential to be a great mentor to the lads.

Australia's tail wagged. And wagged. And wagged. And wagged. And wagged. And wagged 163 times. And Australia went from 117/9 to 280 all out. And the only ball I watched on TV was the final wicket after being shocked by what my internet connection told me.

evil_hunter

England on top after 4 days of some crazy action: 14 wickets on the first day, Number 11 getting 98, Trott's dismissal, Broad's 'edge', etc.

Post-match edit: That was an exciting test match, although it would have been better if much of the excitement did not revolve around DRS (or in some cases, the unavailability of it).

My god we were sh*t at bowling out the tail end in the two innings. Like both innings we were looking pretty comfortable only then for it to swing the other way and then look like we've thrown it away, bloody close ending. As many people have said, it was like Edgbaston 05.

Got to step it up in the next test.

damn right but Australia have always had a tight tail-end.

I remember back in '05 brett lee was often a c*nt to get out. Plus that 98 by Agar was something special, but it was born out of idiotic bowling and fielding strategies, very idiotic.

And incredibly sh*t umpiring, true they have a tough job but those 30 or so runs by Broad proved crucial in the end. That was a clean edge, I mean seriously?

Good job to England though, but Australia should have won it IMO. Nothing on Flynny. tounge.gif

Australia got lucky today, would have been 3-0 down if it wasn't for the rain. ph34r.gif

No 5-0 whitewash but 4-0 will have to do. The officiating in these tests still continue to be poor, even with the video tech some decisions are given wrongly.

Completely agree, unfortunately it seems as if there's a large difference in picture quality between the 3rd umpire's room and the televisions in the studio and at home so hotspot and the like are difficult to make out clearly.

I think that going forwards the only solution would be to recruit specially-trained video umpires whose sole role is to look at reviews, as otherwise it'll become a joke as howlers are being committed and allowed to stay wrong in spite of there being a lack of any evidence in support of the original decision. .

F*ck double posts... It's been over a week and, more importantly, it's The Ashes wink.gif

Australia are currently mowing down the England attack. 350-odd for 5 right now but it looks like it'll be a draw because the rain this morning effectively wrote off an entire session. Hopefully England bat sensibly and this game peters out -- don't want anything disastrous to happen now that the series has been sewn up; we need to be ruthless.

Also nice to see Shane Watson has played an innings which will save his test career (albeit a 176 on a dead pitch against two spinners and two debutants aha) because in Australia his habit of playing across the line and getting out LBW should be a great help in the wicket department. That said the extra bounce on the Australian pitches could give him a few extra lives...
