combustion
Terrible news. He was likely going to visit his family. According to Cricinfo, there are no burns on his body and no fractures detected yet. Hope he gets well soon enough to smash Lyon across the park. String
It's crazy to think Pant is already India's greatest keeper bat in tests and he's only 25. He still has many more years in him not only in cricket but to enjoy life, as such news makes us remember. Speedy recovery wishes for him combustion

Now they trust him to keep in all conditions while before in Asia they would swap him with Saha Kano is absolute. Centuries in 10 countries. Apparently Dravid, Sanga and Mahela did it in 10 too while Younis Khan did it in 11 which is the record. Younis is an underrated bat imo, was formidable. Kane the only non Asian batsman in the list. combustion
String
Asia cup groups are out. To nobody's surprise it's the exact same groups as the last few editions. Why don't they atleast pretend it's not a farce. India-Pakistan in Pakistan should be fun at least. Though I notice they haven't announced the venue even though Pak is scheduled to host it. combustion
SKY gets another call-up to the test squad. Sucks to be Sarfaraz. String
String
I rate SKY he's my favourite batsman in world cricket right now, but it's rough to see Sarfaraz averaging 80+ in first class over 50+ innings and not getting a place in the squad. I was surprised he wasn't considered for the Bangladesh tour. I can only think that his not so good performance for India A recently (so I read), and Surya taking international cricket by storm tipped the scales in SKY's favour and he's seen as a pick on potential even if his stats aren't as good. My issue with the Indian team is that incumbents get way too long a rope. Never mind Surya, there's no way our current middle order is so good to keep someone averaging 80 out. I will go as far as to say that Kohli based on his form in the last year or so is a passenger in the test side. I think he averages like 26ish in tests since 2020. This may age badly but he's in the team on reputation at this point. Sarfaraz really should have been tried when he's in red hot form and our middle order a bit shaky. combustion
String
Test Kohli may be unimpressive recently. ODI Kohli is getting back to the old ways. 3 centuries in the last 4 matches and destroying the bowling at the death. Phenom. Tendulkar's century record in ODIs is within touching distance. combustion
