The only thing that can be said with certainty is that GTAV next gen will come out way later than everyone's most pessimistic expectations. The best you can hope for is that GTAV next-gen will be released before the next-next gen consoles are shown at E3.

Who said I agreed with it? I just know the regular announcement process for just about every game that gets released...which is announce game with a vague released date like "Spring" or "holiday season", then announce a delay till the next year, and then it gets released. So the announcement of gta 5 for next gen was in June at e3. We still have no release date. Even with big rumors of when the date is, for whatever reason rockstar can't just clarify and tell us the date. Is this their thing now? Just keep the consumers in the dark and not knowing because there are a lot of people out their who went next gen after the announcement of next gen and sold their last gen copies and systems. I just don't get it I guess. Maybe thee is something I'm missing but it seems pretty clear to me

They had to announce at E3 because it's a perfect chance to bait the players to continue supporting them, or have something to look forward to as far as the game is concerned. They're not keeping us in the dark; we're not special snowflakes that deserve to know everything that's going on. Just be patient, enjoy what the game has to offer now or find something else. It's not that imperative to know when it's gonna come out.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about. This dude came on here and starts tripping, calling rockstar a "private company" lol. Dude, they are private? Last time I checked these guys were involved in some big games. And as this guy is saying, heists were a big part of that online trailer. Got delayed till spring and then again to nobody even knows when.

 

So yes, I would think at this point they own us heists and it's terrible marketing because nobody is excited about it anymore. Everybody is more excited about a possible casino than heists. Barely filling us in on any info. Dates on when heists come out or anything.

 

Rockstar never makes appearances at e3. They were apart of the sony conference and it was announced that it was coming this fall. You would think three months later, a date would be released but typical rockstar keeping all the consumers that buy into their game in the dark.

Yeah I'm usually easy going, but with heists being so late I'm starting to expect a little more communication. I'm happy with the game and they don't *have* to tell me anything, and I don't need any confirmed dates - but a bit some information on progress or the current challenges they're facing wouldn't go amiss on newswire. I'd hope they appreciate us enough as customers to at least take that in to consideration.

 

Generally I'm a fan of Rockstar for being great to their customers, but missed deadlines and lack of keeping us informed does drain that a little.

In other news Saints Row has officially announced its new tittle (with trailer).. There really nothing wrong with expecting some communication between a a gaming company and its player base.
