Wiebrendh
So, i am familiar with IV modding (http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/author/220566), and a friend plays a lot SA, so i thought why not try and make some mods for SA. I have actually no idea where to start.. So, does SA has scripthook, and is it for C#?
goodidea82
We use CLEO scripts for modding. It is a low-level language. In the beginning I hated it but then it reminded my of the old times when programming my first games in Qbasic and I started to love cleo (for that reason). There are two kinds of cleo scripts: scripts that run permanently or that do a particular modification once (.cs) and mission scripts (.cm). The .cs scripts have 32 variables only. The .cm scripts have >1000 variables (1024?). The main CLEO tutorial is by ZAZ, it's easy to find. In the beginning you will use only assembler-like low level constructs. Later you will have also structured statements like if-block, loops, etc. One more think, it is super easy to decompile other people's scripts in a readable way and learn the tricks.
