My vote is for IV

I'm voted for GTA IV.

Now about every game:

GTA III - in fact it have no interiors at all;

GTA Vice City - it has a really good interiors - North City Mall, the large mansion on Starfish island which have also a large staircase from its basement to its roof, El Banco Corrupto Grande, Ocean View Hotel, Malibu Club (I almost don't enter there because the guards often shoot me a lot!), many restaurants, Cafe Robina, Ammunation and Tooled Up shops (last noted remains only on that game)! Unfortunately I had serious problems with that game - it crashes a lot for me (I'm get slightly often Unhanded Exception errors on definite spots of map when doing something specific with Tommy Versetti on these places, as this happens slightly often inside North Point Mall, where there are 2-3 places where this happens. Interesting is, in free roam Vice City crashes more than GTA San Andreas or GTA III, which in free roam runs a lot more stable for me. So I've has to stop playing VIceCity, although I agreed it has really nice free roam available from beginning (like San Andreas and ViceCity Stories), good map and atmosphere and nice interiors though...

GTA San Andreas have a many good interiors, however as many people said, the doors for entrance / exit and size of interior with the exterior don't match. Separately, most of interiors are smaller, only exceptions are mostly located in Las Venturas - LV Police Station, Las Venturas Planning Department (which in fact is the only interior with staircase and more than two floors - 4 floors of total), Caligula's Palace, The Four Dragons Casino, and in Los Santos - Atrium (which appears to be only interior in the game where is possible also to see a part of the outside world through its windows), Jefferson Motel and Big Smoke's Crack Palace. I also like multilevel parking garages - the one at East Los Santos, and these in Las Venturas, especially the Emerald Isle garage that has 10 levels. At Los Santos, Big Smoke's Crack Palace interior is really huge, but also in the group of those interiors which are inaccessible in free roam along with most houses like B Dup's Crack Palace, Wu Zi Mu's Apartment, San Fierro Police Headquarters (San Fierro Police Department), and Area 69 that also have a huge interior, but it not only can't be entered normally, but also unlike other interiors, trying to enter Area 69's area will gives you massive wanted level, so its better to forget for it since Area 69 is a restricted zone. As Vice City, San Andreas have a large amount of shop interiors - 24-7, Sex Shop XXX, Binco, ZIP, Victim, Sub Urban, ProLabs, Didier Sachs, Ammunation, Cluckin' Bell, Burger Shot, The Well Stacked Pizza Co. (while 24-7 and Sex Shop XXX shops can be accessed from the beginning of the game, the others shops (clothing, tattoo, hair and food shops and the Ammunation ones for weapons are not accessible and are unavalable until you have definite mission passed). There are also many Clubs...

GTA IV / GTA EFLC - here are probably best interiors for me as amount and detail! Unlike previous games, GTA IV has a lot of enterable buildings where you can climb a real staircase and exit to the roof of the building, separatelly unlike San Andreas, is possible to use the fire escapes on buildings in Liberty City. Some of good for me are, the abandoned factory on Alderney, the apartment building with Angels of Death Clubhouse where Niko Bellic have to climb 22 floors to reach its rooftop, the Libertonian museum inside Middle Park, and Dragon Heart Plaza in GTA EFLC TBoGT, I will add also the construction sites, especially the 8-floor one at Alderney, and availability of clothes shops (Modo, Perseus and the Russian one) on GTA IV! Things I don't like about interiors in GTA IV / EFLC are: on north half of Algonquin there are 2-3 interiors repeated several times inside several different buildings looking different outside; the Libertonian museum can be accessed only on its back side, there are a another door wich can't be opened in any way in singleplayer however Libertonian museum can be entered in free roam only in GTA IV and GTA EFLC TLaD, in GTA EFLC TBoGT the museum is completely inaccessible - back entrance is closed, the small door on other side still can be opened only on multiplayer, but not in singleplayer; there is a Liberty bank that have a slightly small interior on all three games, but outside a few missions, on neither of GTA IV or GTA EFLC it can be accessed without a mods or trainer - there is just no WAY to open Liberty Bank's doors at all; clothes shops in GTA EFLC are with disabled access and can't be entered in any way - doors are locked, same with the front door of the building with Angels of Death Clubhouse which can be opened only on GTA IV but cannot in GTA EFLC, although there is a back entrance on the tall building that is still opened in GTA EFLC (as well in GTA IV also); on the middle apartment building on Governor Greg Johnson Projects which have a staircase interior to its roof, except on ground and 2nd floor where is the Dwayne Forge's Apartment on all other floors looks absolutely the same with same graffiti placed at at same places on the walls making the interior looks unrealistic for me; I can't access any of apartment buildings where Niko savehouses are located in GTA EFLC - doors simply won't open; unlike GTA San Andreas, there are only three multilevel garages - two 2-level near to Francis International Airport and on Algonquin and an one 4-level at Alderney.

GTA V - I don't know anything for latest GTA title since there isn't a PC version released, however I don't have a console...

This is a great debate, and a great thread :^::^:

Personally, I think SA was the best when it comes to interiors. There were random houses you could enter in LS, and when you entered: You saw a drug orgy and the people would kill you if you entered. There were many other interiors too if I remember.

Gta IV is full of many wonderful Interiors out of which I have only been able to show two above.

The thought of being in some Gta IV houses makes U feel like their might be some criminal activity happening their and some makes U feel very Insecure, even during missions and that IMO is Great fun. Also the music in appartments Is best.

Gta IV is more fun as U feel afraid during some of missions due to is amazing interiors.

Undoubtedly 'Vice City' and 'San Andreas'.

Vice City had details, not just in interiors but in everything. And San Andreas featured a whole city of houses to rob, in burglary side activity.

Ahhh... Good Old 3rd era...

and, good+old makes gold, y'know...

I gotta say that GTA IV had the best-looking interiors so far, and good-enough variety too, if you think about it- different safehouses, internet cafes, hospitals, pub, and road-side restauraunts.

GTA SA had interesting ones like bars with backrooms, supermarkets, an entire underground military facility, small stores, it felt like you were actually adventuring indoors.

GTAV is a borefest, prettymuch. The SP houses are nice, but they still feel like marrying my highschool crush, who I stopped giving a sh*t about a long time ago. The interiors we visit in missions are just one-time deals and there might aswell be large red arrows pointing at a red circle marking the door you're supposed to go through. The convenience stores are copy-pasted, so are the gun stores.

GTA IV and SA are my picks for interiors now.

GTA IV for the incredible variety. I still am discovering new ones to this day just in Bohan alone.

Cheers.

Gotta be GTA IV. So many of them! The house interiors in SA during burglary missions (and also most safehouses) were copy-pasted and you can't look outside except for the atrium. Vice City had some great ones. I loved driving around the mall with the infernus! GTA V, yeah, there were a few ones. Fort Zancudo tower, liquor and clothes stores, Trevors gas station/meth lab, bank on the walk of fame (It has a name, but I forgot) and a few more. While all of these were pretty detailed, there just weren't enough. LCS barely had any. VCS had alot of stores and, what I f*cking love about that game, the variable interiors of your empire. All in all, IV is first, then comes VC, then VCS, then V, then SA, then LCS.
