I've notice something about racing crews

Yesterday I ran into someone who had a very good win/loss ratio in races. It was around 2000 wins, 500 losses. I thought ''He must be pretty good.''

Moments before the race ended, he left. (Because he wasn't in first)

After that, the lobby voted for another race and he joined again.

And so it happened again. moments before the race ended, he left.

The lobby wanted a replay. So the player joined yet again.

This time, he was first and he didn't leave.

Basically, his win/loss ratio was a complete lie. He refused to finish any race if he wasn't first so that it wouldn't affect his ratio and he was in the World Racing Elite crew.

Moral of this story: Win/Loss ratios, racing crews, K/D ratios, all are meaningless because they can be so easily manipulated giving people false impressions.

''Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.'' - Vladimir Bartol

thats why i think you should get an automatic lose if you leave a race.

You still get a loss on your record if you leave early. Most likely his wins were from racing a buddy one on one.

Evading someone in free roam is easy, even if they are a good driver.

Why don't you race them to judge their racing abilities.

After all they are a racing crew, not chase some dingbat across the map crew.

I've raced a handful of them in races, and it's the same sh*t as in free roam, they don't even try to brake for a corner or do so way to early, that and half the time I don't stay long due to most of the ones I've raced tend to ram everyone off the road like its a f*cking Touring Car race. Most of the ones I've seen in free roam just can't drive and when I got into race with them the ram people of the road to make up for that fact.

OP, it seems you have run across a few bad apples. It happens.

What console are you on?

If Xbox, add me. I'll show you what being in a racing crew is all about. Always looking for decent racers to mix it up with.

And btw, our crew was one of the crews featured on the newswire. The things you have claimed happening (ramming) are not acceptable in our crew, and I'd like to know if it was one of my guys.

Turn catch up off and if you get rammed it is your own fault.

When I'm not host I can do sh*t about it. Most of it happens at the start.

The Angel King

I have beaten a few from a few of these guys from racing crews and shortly after they attacked me in freemode. Didn't work out too well though. They seem rather shocked when I blow their rides sky high and do it until they leave.

Ya... I do the cat mouse thing. The mouse however, has an arsenal and knows how to use it :)

Hey, I like Suzukis! My dad drives a 2012 Suzuki Kizashi.

Anyway, yeah I've met my fair share of sh*tty people from "racing" crews. I raced a guy in a Super Diamond while I used my Stratum. I was a bit uneasy considering he had a much better car and he had a win/loss record of around 150/25. We raced 1 on 1 since no one else joined. It was on that "verified" drift track around the docks, if anyone remembers it. But anyway I was beating him by a considerable margin and he left before the race was over. Just goes to show how win/loss stats are innaccurate because they can be so easily manipulated. Quitting a race should give you a race loss, dammit!

Seen my fair share of this, that and it seems to be getting worse, last year alone my friends from high school had seen more than their fair share them to the point it was a daily talk about the these racing crew members

If your goal is to piss me off it isn't working.... I've be the target of flame wars on a forum website for Halo CE, and no I'm not boasting, I'm just stating that I've notice most of these air quote "racing crews members" Have not shown anything in the way of basic driving skills, unless ramming everyone off the road is a basic driving skill.

A chase is different to a race also traffic is a major part of escape strategy, maybe the people you have encountered were just treating it as a bit of fun and if they wanted to catch you they could.

The way rockstar have balanced out vehicles means no car is uncatchable or unbeatable.

I wish I knew how to drive. In real life, I am crappy (but safe) driver. I have to nearly come to a full stop to make right turns. This is why I don't competitively race on GTAO. I see other people brag about their amazing racing abilities, it would be nice for someone to offer tips to us that are driving-challenged.

Free roam I get the traffic making things much harder, but when you can't make a easy turn in a adder or some other super car there is an issue, as for racing again most of the ones I've seen tend to ram people of the road that the start.

Ubisoft took the general concept of Assassin's Creed from Vladimir Bartol's books, a slovenian author.

It's his quote. Originally it's ''Nič ni resnično. Vse je dovoljeno.'' The video game just made it along with the assassin concept popular through the game.

It's on the wikipedia if you don't believe me. My country used to have actual assassins linking back to the yugoslav wars. Writers wrote more fictional stories about them and Ubisoft took interest in Bartol's work which lead them to make the series.

The crew I am inside is a clean and fair racing crew who use all classes, mainly sports, so I would have to disagree most of all.

never seen anyone with the crew tag "NODO".. Most likely because I rarely get in games with anyone outside the U.S

Edit: now the I think about it, that might explain a lot of the "racing crew members" I've seen, most people in the U.S at least in my area that play this game think Street racing when they heard the word racing

Probably not met anyone from RRR, APEX, or RACE either, judging from your opinion. If you have then... well, you are embarrassingly wrong.

I've see one or two from each most of them raced fairly, but their was at least one of them I've met that tended to ram people off the road, but judging by your opinion most likely with those crews those who ram tend to get kicked out of the crew shortly after, my luck however isn't the best, I tend to get the ones that have to cheat(ram people) to win, I have luck like that in every game it seems back when I played MW2 any and all air strikes were aimed at me every time. Again guess it's just bad luck that I run into to the air quote "bad apples" of racing crews

Manual gears without a tachometer would suck. End of.

(for those who don't know, rev counter)

You wouldn't need a tach unless they make it so mis-shifts could ruin your drivetrain. Otherwise they could just have the players shift roughly based on sound.

Just about everyone I've raced with so far in the racing crew I've been in (Nonchalant Dominance) have been pretty good racers, including some excellent racers. And they're some swell goes in free roam as well. As for racing with other vehicles, it's natural for a racer to want to look more toward performance. I usually do not stray away from the top competitors in each vehicles class, unless a car is a personal favorite or has a specific use. But I know that my crew members or myself have no problems racing in other classes, the only problem is other people typically do not want to race coupes, sports classics, muscle or sedans. I'd love to get a few races in with the Zion or Shafter. In free roam, I use the fastest car I have available to me (most of the time), I'm not seeing the problem there.

As for free roam driving, it's a completely different monster. You have to deal with traffic, people shooting at you, as well as a non-restricted route to drive. In a chase you're likely shooting at someone, if you're chasing then you have a bit of a better chance but are still likely to hit stuff or miss a turn, if you're the runner... well I fully exact them to hit stuff if they're turning to shoot the majority of the time. As for myself I don't tend to take free roam driving seriously unless I'm chasing or running from someone as there's nothing at stake if I hit a lamp post.

Yeah, usually the good crews are not as easy to get in. I know the one I'm in has a crew A and crew B system where some players can work their way up the next time there's an opening. Others you have to prove yourself just to get in.

I'm a pretty clean racer but I'm not perfect. I occasionally hit someone by accident but it's a rare occurrence and when it does happen and it's just the two of us, I'll stop and let them recover so I can attempt a cleaner overtake. Those racing crews just bother me with their extremely anal contact rules. Imo, a few of them just take the fun out of it because they don't want you attempting risky overtakes that may or may not work. sh*t's gonna happen in a race from time to time, particularly against well-matched drivers. I don't want to hold myself back because the guy in front of me doesn't want a scratch on his bumper.

This I'm ok with, it's just most of the people I've seen so far have gone out of their way to ram everyone off the road..... Again my sh*t luck with matchmaking for you.
