WTF is up with DMS?

If the OP wants to play DMs and not get shot in the back by players not seen, maybe OP should try playing without aim-bot.

And to all of you who say you're so BA at DMs, you're not. You're using aim-bots, all of you are using aim-bots and then attempt to boast about how BA you are.

sh*ts weak.

Everybody else is too though, so it's an even playing field.

^obviously everyone in aim-bot lobbies are on a level playing field, that doesn't change the fact that you're playing on a pre-schoolers playing field.

That's like saying 'I'm the best racer because I play an 'on-rails' racing game and I apply brake and gas better than anyone else. You guys that turn while racing work too much!' And usually it's followed by some elitist comment....(most) free-aimers aren't elitist, we just don't want a bot playing for us.

Cheers

Yeah, obviously auto aiming isn't going anywhere. The game is designed for auto-aim. The free aim setup is notoriously wonky, the combat roll makes free aiming needlessly frustrating, and the amount of enemies you get on any mission is obviously selected with auto-aim in mind.

The fact that free-aim is even available is more of a bonus. I'm glad they have it, and I think that if they fixed some of its faults it would be preferable for me to use in any PVP game mode. But it'll never be the "default" mode for anything.

No Free-Aim/Mixed-Aim can stay in Missions because that is where they belong. They have no business in a competitive player vs player environment. Don't give me its good to have options nonsense. Diversity in game design brings incoherence to game modes. All DM and TDMs should be Free Aim BY DEFAULT with no option to change otherwise.

"Deathmatches need to be Free-Aim only because I play Free-Aim and Free-Aim is better and everyone needs to play the way I play!"

That's what you sound like.

It's not even the fact that you believe Free-Aim is better, or wanting Free-Aim to be more popular, you're actually trying to take away the choice to play Free-Aim or any other -Aim in Deathmatches.

You have the option to play GTA Online in Free-Aim, you have the option to play Deathmatches in Free-Aim. You don't want Free-Aim only deathmatches, you simply want everyone to play the way you play.

Its called setting a concrete standard for competitive play. I'm sorry you do not understand coherent game design and what breeds chaos. Let me simplify this. In Quaker III there is only ONE aiming mode, all players must conform to that specific standard, they are free to set their keyboard as they like, the button mapping etc. What they are not free to do is run roughshod over standardized practice. Sometimes Options are a bad thing, option in clothing, perfectly fine, options in Ice-cream? Great. Options for competitive play? Get the hell out. There must be Universal Rules all must abide.

It is attempting to play Soccer saying we have the option to play 15 players while others play with 11 a side. No fool. In a Competition. In a game the rules absolutely must be concretely set and formalised. Auto-Aim has NO BUSINESS in DMs or TDMs because they distort the player base and bring madness to the systematisation.

Think Child. Think before you post.

It's as simple as this:

You think Free-Aim DM is competitive? Good, go play the competitive Free-Aim DM, its right there in front of you. It'll continue to exist and be unchanged whether you set "concrete and universal rules" or not.

Choosing between Auto-Aim and Free-Aim isn't the same as a soccer game with uneven teams, because everyone in the game has the same -Aim.

If DM & TDM had the power for every individual player/team to have their choice of -Aim, then you'd have a point, but no competition, formal or informal, would revolve something around more than one standard at the same time.

You're not bringing up Free-Aim, you're bringing down everything that's not Free-Aim.

Of course it should be brought down. You do not allow options that harm competitive modes to exist attempting to use a moral yardstick such as "choice".

It has no business being Death Match and Team Death Match to begin with It should NOT EXIST, using sound logic. Rockstar however chose the cowards way and as such the entire user-base is fragmented, separated. I ask you again, seeing as you lack comprehension skills, and are clearly ignorant of recognizing sound game mechanics and deliberate decisions. Could you imagine Lock on in Unreal Tournament?! No thinking developer who is trying to foster a competitive environment around their game that features Death Matches would do this.

If I wanted a proper FPS DM, I wouldn't come to grand theft auto. GTA has always been designed like this.

What I like about auto aim DMs is a few things:

- focus on position / strategy are very important - even when playing against random players (which is 99% of the time)

- when I'm in the action it's fast paced - you *have* to be fast because people can target you so quickly + combat rolls etc

- if I'm feeling a bit useless and a bit slow, I can still get a few kills in rather than getting frustrated

- if I'm feeling awake I'll adjust for head shots, be more active etc and be rewarded with more kills

I can't be the only one, because they're pretty popular, and good players always win.

You have auto aim (which just goes for the torso btw and it's very good at selecting targets) but so does everyone else. it's a level playing field and also means the newbies can actually have SOME fun in the process.

If I wanted a fast paced manual aim title, I'd go on the PC - mouse + higher framerates + titles suited specifically for deatmatches = intense fun.

I don't prefer to settle, I like things to be the best they can be and with next gen the framerate should be even more stable and locked. GTAonline TDM has some great maps, some poor ones ( all games do ) but to simply say Oh, its just GTA lets have low expectations is not an adequate attitude for me.

Except again, you already have "the best they can be". If competitive matches should only be done in Free-Aim, then all players of said competition can go to Free-Aim and do said deathmatches. You get your competition, and Auto-Aim doesn't been touched.

It's like taking away the ability to do Versus Missions in order to "make Contact Missions better". One isn't dependent on the other.

I hate deathmatches also. I want dot on full time at least to be optional. Last Team Standing has dots always on and they are way more fun then deathmatches.

then play freeroam. What challenge is chasing a visible dot around?
