Let me start by saying im a rank 351 and have over 60 days played..To this day I can not figure out deathmatches..

Can anyone explain this sh*t to me ?

Everytime i join one i am constantly shot in the back by invisable dots..How do you kill people if you cant even find them??

It seems to involve no skill since people just spawn behind me all the time..

This feature of the game just makes no sence to me at all . i know your supposed to use stealth and a silencer but this does not work for me as i am still constantly shot in the back by invisable players

I don't know if you're experiencing glitches or just sh*t luck, but what do you expect? Deathmatches are nothing more than random killing. If you are looking for a deep, fufilling gaming experience then you're playing the wrong mode.

If you run around the map like a chicken with your head cut off, your dot will be visible to everyone on the map, which means you can be targeted much easier by someone who's just around the corner.

Same thing applies to non-silenced weapons.

If you're in someone's line of sight or vice versa, your map will quickly flash red.

Chances are you're just in a small map with close spawn points, or you're not checking your surroundings to where someone can just pick you off when you're not looking.

Or a glitch, wouldn't be surprised.

DM blips only appear when shooting or in line of site. On regular DM in auto aim it can be a pain but everyone's at the same 'disadvantage' it's a good test of reaction times and spatial awareness

Call Lester to reveal players. Almost ever DM MVP I've seen (including myself) has done this.

As far as I know, R* has designed DMs to spot your location to enemy players who's being killed much frequently and aren't killing too much

Sometimes respawn point are sh*t. It's placed without a decent range from battling area. This is the reason why you can get killed after spawning or get killed by freshly spawned guy.

in a regular DM when your blip is red it means youve been spotted and can be seen on the radar. in TDM when your blip is grey you can be seen on the radar. if it's white (or blue in TDM) you're hidden

most times i dont even have a chance to react as i am just getting shot and have no clue where it is even coming from.

last night i tried one and as soon as it started the opposing team was literally standing right in front of us. auto aim did not lock and i was instantly killed. i respawned and was shot and killed before i could even take my gun out wtf lol

Then if everyone camps you dont see any dots at all. idk it just seems um retarted to me

atleast in free roam everyone knows exactly where everyone else is. to kill someone that knows exactly where you are takes some kinda skill but this dm crap is rediculous..its like tryin to search and kill someone off radar

If you dominate, they will respawn behind you even if you are near your home base to balance the game.

this depends to ur noise ( if the noise range reach by nearby player , they can see u in radar but u can't see him unless he also make noise )

normally , players were enter stealth mode to reduce chance of getting spotted by rival's radar ( explosion obviously result large noise range )

however , this trick doesn't work certain deathmatch and daylight ( like construction DM )

If you play long enough you can figure the spawns out and go somewhere where nobody will spawn behind you or go somewhere with cover behind you. Also call Lester to see targets.

Your first step is to stop using the radar, or at least stop being so focussed on it. It'll flash if a blip appears, so you can glance at it then to get an idea of where that blip is. Secondly, click the R3 button to look behind you from time to time.

Like Staten said just watch your screen ignore the radar you should be able to see it flash out of the corner of your eye that's your cue to get some cover.

As a general rule I never play a user made DM with the guy that made the thing because 99% of the time he wil own you up and down.

Pretty solid advice in this thread.. blips appear when there is a line of sight. Call Lester etc..

But it also sounds like (and I have NO Intention to start a FA/AA debate) your play style may be better suited for free aim..

Once you figure out the mentally retarded mechanics of deathmatches you will just avoid them altogether.

There's no point in taking deathmatch seriously in a game where 99% of the players play in a mode that aims for you, and the game has a cover system. All console game deathmatch is dumbed down and isn't really skill-based.

Luigi had this problem

Luigi used to have this problem, too. You're not alone.

Your dot becomes visible on the mini map, as soon as you start to run (holding "X" on PS3, for example). You can call Lester so he shows every player on the map for a minute or so.

Small maps with a lot of players can be a spawn killing nightmare, but most are not that bad. You have to play a few to find which type of map suits you best, once you get the hang of it they are a lot of fun.

Furry_Monkey

I'd recommend trying to stick to TDM till you get into it more. At least 50% of the players aren't gonna shoot you in the back.

If your in a crew you should try to organize a DM between crew members that should cut back on some of the BS you deal with playing against randoms

Well that is true for the current BS DMs those little kids made nowadays.

But there are also some great user-generated DMs like the ones in the FIB or IAA buildings.

Pre this "10000000000 OMG KILLAZ RP/$" stuff there also were some nice melee fight club DMs on several rooftops, which were pretty cool.

TDMs are quite fun.Maybe because I usually is the MVP.To be honest I think Owned+Pickups is better than forced. Why would I earn my weapons if I cannot use it in dms?And I do not spam rpgs or miniguns.

Running around in a dm is just asking to be shot. But if you run smart and take cover it may actually work.My carbine is not sipenced by the way.
