I have been a frequent viewer of this youtube vlogger, Jordan Owen, for a number of years and he has tackled many issues in debating radical feminists, anti-adult entertainment campaigners and most recently has been focusing on self-proclaimed feminist "expert" on video games who goes by the name of Anita Sarkeesian and how she claims video games are misogynistic and encourage hate toward women etc. Anyway he is doing a fundraiser project to produce a feature film called "The Sarkeesian Effect" thats meant to be a rebuttal to Anita Sarkeesian's allegations about the videogame industry and to get the opposing sides voice actually heard out aloud in the media. I am only bringing it to the attention of any gamers with serious political passion as a favour to Jordan Owen as he has made many good interesting vids in the past about other subjects, but even then I am just there for the drama 99% of the time. He has in fact banned me from his page a number of times on many of my alternate youtube accounts. I am a total internet drama junkie and not really comfortable in actual civilized discussion and debate. I am just putting it out there. Take a look or ignore and forget. Completely up to you. I also think she's an opportunist that's "invading" a hobby that's fairly important to me that she doesn't really give 2 sh*ts about. These 2 guys are really cringey though. I've been watching a lot videos on this subject recently while following the Zoe Quinn debacle over the last week or so. I'm actually in favour of the idea of this but I'm a shameless miser and I refuse to give money to any project, no matter how much I may support them in theory. Besides, I really don't see how their little film is going to shut up the moronic feminazi SJWs and their white knight journalist bitches. Also, this could all be a bullsh*t scam. A lot of (justifiably) angry gamers out there at the moment just waiting to be taken advantage of. Either way I wish them well but they ain't getting my pounds. It's frustrating when you have morons making threats like that because it just brings her back into the spotlight. Furthermore it allows the media to paint anyone who dares criticise her or her buddies as a bunch of maniac, misogynistic rapists. The gamer boys club got pretty mad about it and have been trying to prove to her that misogyny in the gaminig community doesn't exist by sending her messages about killing and raping her. It made me sad that a media TEACHER was getting information and being influenced by someone like Anita. To the point where we had a lesson about GTA V and how all of the artwork and gameplay was misongynistic. I felt like screaming "ITS SUPPOSED TO BE SATIRE, ITS COMEDY" but nah. Anyway, all this sh*t is stupid, so many stupid things going on lately about feminism and video game journalism and knights trying to protect the video game industry. I don't have much else to say besides that it's all really f*cking stupid. I mean, it's not like anything else hasn't been said yet. This is how humans work, and with so many different people and the internet there is bound to happen stuff like this, and it all eventually backlashes at who started it or something. Right now it just seems like 2 angry, heavily entrenched sides are duking it out in the bowels of the internet with no intention of changing their minds any time soon.
