I have seen a lot of mixed opinions about the changes that were made to missions in this latest update. I'm quite happy with this, I can now join random missions knowing that I will have a wide variety of jobs to play rather than seeing Rooftop Rumble all the time. In way I like what they have done to the payout system, I can take my time knowing that I will be rewarded for doing so. But on the other hand it's not fair on the good players who will get the job done really quickly but still want to get a decent amount of money.

And to those who want to "milk" missions, stick to private lobbies and don't ruin the fun for people who just want to complete the mission. It's really annoying when the guy with the briefcase just sits in from of Martin's house for 5 minutes straight...

Tell me what you think about the changes.

Tbh I'm loving it..

Though that's mainly because i'm using it to rank up my 2nd character.. I've already reached lvl 51 and that's taken less than two weeks of not exactly intensive gameplay.. RP and $$$ for missions seems more generous on the whole and even the lower level missions are generally paying in excess of 10k cash and 1.5K RP as a minimum... and also, there's more people playing different missions, so it's nice not to have to sit through hell knows how many RRs and watch tards screw up however many RRs..

So in short, it get's my vote.. :D

Its good this way. I have enough glitched money to last until patch 10.0, so playing random missions again with a decent reward is fun again now. Not every game i join is Looftop Lumble anymore.

Like McDonald's "I'm Lovin' It". Almost every mission pays over 10K and I'm not picky on the missions anymore. I just take my time, goof off, and use vehicles I normally wouldn't (been busting out the Roosevelt).

Love it.

It's great to just play different missions that pop up, even lower level ones, and still get a good payout. It adds up really quick.

The increase in base pay is a welcome change, but making you earn more money for longer play time didn't work out the way they thought it would. Instead of making harder missions just pay more, it results in people just taking longer to maximize their pay.

They should have just looked at each mission individually and made a judgement call on a fair amount of pay for it.

I'm going to hold up my hands and admit I was wrong. I hated it at first but as I've played more and more I like it. I can't grind anymore which is a pain but I didn't grind because I enjoyed it I did it because everything is so expensive, but while I earn less over all I earn more when playing with friends just having fun with missions. So I admit I was wrong, it's a good change.

I never played missions for $$ anyways, I was always the guy starting up a 6-man extradition using choppers and picking ppl up and letting them parachute out. For me the mission is more rewarding than the destination.

For the most part I love this update. Pre-1.16 I used to play Crystal Clearout and Diamonds Are For Trevor just because both were fun. Now I have two reasons because both used to pay just 7,500.

It's great. I still end up in a few low paying (normal difficulty) missions, but most missions seem to pay AT LEAST 10k. Long and hard missions with a full team generally pay over 20k.

I'm not becoming rich quickly because there seem to be a bunch of bugs, such as the on call period ending and instead of joining a lobby you get teleported to a random place on the map, probably because something went wrong or you were (automatically) removed before even joining. But that doesn't matter much to me, I'm sure bugs will be fixed eventually and meanwhile, I can count on about 10k minimum per mission. I'm almost guaranteed that when people f**k up and leave me to do the rest, which generally takes a bit longer than when you have a whole team with you.

Don't care about the whole money per hour thing, perhaps doing certain missions fast means earning more money per hour than doing certain missions slowly on hard. To me it just feels better to get a large pay-out at the end of a mission.

really like it but they need to fix it so there's always at least one mission on the voting screen. group keeps getting split up because it doesn't give us any missions even after we refresh twice

Yes. People actually do my favourite missions with me now.

No Hay Bronica

Chumush and Grab

Gerald Missions in general.

True. It'd be nice if it was MOSTLY contact missions, if that's what you joined in the first place.

People always leave when the options don't include a contact mission and they've refreshed the page twice, or if it's just a rank 5 mission.

And what's up with repetition? A few days ago I ended up playing late with one guy and after a few runs we kept getting A Titan Of A Job and A Boat In The Bay, endlessly! We did one and all we got to choose from was the other, and then the same the other way around. Needless to say we gave up after about three runs of each mission. Blergh.

i don't like this mechanic... cause it cuts the community... either wasting time in missions for high payout or going for a speed run (exp/sec) seems just to be a lottery if u join a random mission after the last patch... : /

i would prefer a random system for payout every time a mission is going to be hosted... like a random outcome for RR between 10-18k so it wouldn't matter which mission u join. Most of the player would play different missions... not only the top 3 calculated ones after the last update.

sadly this would never happens...

Love it.

I've always enjoyed playing all of the missions (since the game launched). Never was a big RR grinder.. The harder and longer the better IMO (that's what she said)

I've got a good crew who like to employ RL tactics, and approach each mission with team work, no man left behind, communication. Waiting out the enemies, or flush em out. Turn and burn etc..

The new payout system is finally rewarding us with GTA$ and has only served to reinforce our play style. Win/win/profit

I have been playing the game a lot more recently because the new payout system ensures that you can play a wide variety of different jobs and still get a decent amount of money and RP.

There's a bug where it just gives you the jobs in alphabetical order (so "A Boat In the Bay, A Titan of a Job, Arms Race" etc). Been in for a while.

Love the new mission payouts.

Yeah I agree with you.

Isn't it show 6 jobs? Make the first row, left one for air races, the next one for land races, then the first one to the right as a water race.

Middle row would be missions. First one to the left is contact missions (i.e Base Invaders), middle one is non-contact mission (i.e Potshot), first to right is versus mission.

Last/bottom row would be for DM's. First to left is DM, middle one is vehicle DM, last one is LTS.

I might get some flame for what i say but whoever thinks that the new payout system sucks is an idiot. How does it logically make sense to make more money offing a group of goons in suits, grabbing a document and delivering it all in three minutes tops then missions that requires more teamwork and has longer steps? With the change of the payout system, now we we FAIRLY get paid based on difficulty, length of mission, and how many people are actually in it. Now the ONLY thing i want R* to do is add a 2-3min auto-kick feature for the AFKers.

I think it was a complete success for what rockstar was going for. I join random missions now and get a really wide variety of missions people are playing. Its completely addressed the issue that we had all these available missions but no one was playing anything except rooftop rumble.

In fact,in a twist of irony, I now back out of the mission if it launches and its rooftop rumble....Bc with random players that mission is about a 50% failure rate now.

Great job by rockstar Imo....I'm playing missions that are actually fun now.
