Just as the gun veered to the side to hit the instructor, she could have accidentally spun it into her own direction and killed herself. Either way, he failed to obey proper safety protocols. You do not stand in the peripheral range of someone manipulating a deadly weapon. And he paid the ultimate price for it. That and putting a fricking Uzi in the hands of a 9 year old. I don't know much about guns, but I wouldn't trust a kid to be able to handle the recoil enough to stand that close to them when they're firing. Was Disneyland too sane for this family? I don't see the problem with bringing a kid to a gun range to shoot some guns, but giving her an Uzi was the stupidest f*cking idea ever. Honestly, it doesn't take a genius to realise that that gun has a huge amount of recoil considering its fire rate, its tough for a lot of adults to handle too.
