How many living properties should we be allowed to won

  1. 1. How many living properties should we be allowed to have?

I know there have been alot of discussion about properties lately, but I wanted to actually get some qualitifiable results.

I decided to do a poll, and at the end I plan on taking a screen shot and adding it to a petition on the R* website.

So answer honestly, and please try to keep it cordial.

thanks.

IMO, 4 Max, having more than that, or even unlimited would be too much. You don't need to own every car in the game.

well keep in mind alot of people want additional properties for the safehouse it provides not JUST car storage. For example, I've been wanting more then 2 properties if only to get a couple of holes in the wall properties to be safehouses. But I do understand your idea of not having enough storage to keep EVERY car in the game.

Create a 40 car hangar property and keep it to having two properties only..

I mean who the hell could seriously fill 80 spaces?

I don't think unrealistic arbitrary limitations add anything to the game, so I voted unlimited.

make sure you vote, that's what I am going to screen shot for the petition. However keep in mind, I'm not just talking about more car storage but the use as a safe house.

I think they should change it to 1 property and 1 extra garage, not 2 proprieties or however you like

.... but that's none of my business

Unlimited. Does it matter really how many properties you own? Hell, even in real life famous and rich people can own dozen of properties! I would have own property for each of my cars =)

Back before they increased it to 2 properties per character, I thought it would have been cool to allow 1 property of each class. 1 low end, 1 mid end, 1 high end, and 1 garage. It would give you 4 safe houses, but only room for 24-28 cars. Would have been a nice compromise.

And when they added houses or mansions, you'd be able to add 1 of those too.

4, and add the option to sell cars/do mods except Respray straight from the garage. Pain in the ass to drive across town when I employ a mechanic

One issue to bear in mind is going to be software limitations, given that the design of the properties esp garages is that they're in fixed central locations and the properties on the maps are essentially access points (though obviously this isn't quite the case with residential properties where there's an outside view as such..)

I'm more likely to agree with three in all honesty as I'd quite like a downtown apartment, a large garage and a bolt hole in the sticks where I can live out my redneck/hick dreams...

I think your level should determine how many cars you can store and then you can own as many or as few properties as you can manage with your car limit.

I think five would be enough, I mean I have the maximum, 2 at the moment and I only use the garages. So, a max of 50 cars would do me perfectly. Having unlimited would get confusing, not knowing which garage a car you want is in etc.

I'm pretty sure someone said something similar about filling 20 spaces, or 40 spaces across two characters. It's weird that people want more storage when most PVs in free roam are Zentornos and most random races are set to Supers.

I think 4 or 5 is enough. Seriously, are you planning to store every single store-able vehicle in this game?

Unlimited. It should only be limited if I'm not planning to play the game until it's not supported or the servers go down.

More properties means more garage space means that many people, collectors like myself mostly, will spend more time playing the game to earn money for all of them or buying cash cards to "support" Rockstar further.

I'll admit that it's not realistic, doesn't really add to immersion and that it might seem too much, but who the hell gives a crap? It's a videogame, about time we got to do whatever we wanted!

Also, in this game we can be MILLIONAIRES and BILLIONAIRES. Guess what they can do? That's right, buy all the properties they want. I'm gonna do a proper count a bit later but if I'm not mistaken there may well be what, two hundred vehicles in the game? With more yet to come in future updates (hell, look how many storable cars were added with I'm Not A Hipster) it's going to be increasingly more difficult for collectors to decide what to keep and what to get rid of.

Nothing else needs to change. You can still only drive one at a time. The only real counter argument I can think of is that perhaps this would mean that you'd have too many places to hide out in. But that's kind of weak, IMO.

So, once again. We're millionaires. In a videogame we should be able to do whatever the hell we want with our money, including buying a ton of properties. It doesn't hurt other players (and naturally anyone could do it if they saved up anyway) and can only work in Rockstar's favour due to time spent playing to fill up the garages and mod the cars. Sure you can say that "glitchers" will do it illegitimately, but that doesn't matter. There's still lots of legit players and it would automatically mean an increase in playing time and money spent on the game by customers.

It would require a small change to the quick GPS function, though. You don't want to go through a list of 30+ properties to get the one you want so maybe let players programme their quick GPS function so they can choose a few (how many or how few they want) properties to put in that list.

EDIT: To the people asking if other players would seriously store every vehicle in the game; yes. Yes I would. And judging by the amount of people playing this game, I am sure I am not the only one. I like having a collection of cars in a videogame, I am not interested in only having one of each type for racing, or only using an Adder (or in my case a Zentorno) all the damn time. It also adds to the little bit of RP value in the game, and that's nice for a lot of players too.

Damn right I'm going to store all that I can. And drive them too!

For example, in Saints Row: The Third I collected every single vehicle I came across, made them all look fairly unique and tried them all. And why not! Why demand to be limited as if we're in real life? In virtual reality such pointless limits should not HAVE to exist.

EDIT 2: A good suggestion a few posts up, that your rank could determine how many properties you can own. I'd still vote for unlimited, but perhaps that could be at a higher rank, either the current max rank for unlocks (120) or something higher like 200. It's not unreasonably high for long term players but it still gives them something to work for.

Also there could be a slight price increase for every extra property. With a max, though. Say up to 50% more expensive, or even 100% tops.

More properties means more garage space means that many people, hoarders* like myself mostly, will spend more time playing the game to earn money for all of them or buying cash cards to "support" Rockstar further.

Fixed it again. You should know that the word collected works in that sentence.

At least try to come up with an argument, friend!

As many as your funds allow

Nah that's crap. Think of all the glitcher twats who would be able to own every property in the game without doing anything whatsoever to earn them.

What's crap is denying hundreds or thousands of legit players this feature because of those people. Respectfully sir, a horrible argument. Don't decide everything based on people who don't play a game the way you're supposed to.

Because they ruin the experience enough already, you want to limit the possibilities for the rest of us? People will find a way to screw with the game no matter what. We shouldn't have to lose out because of them

I don't care about glitchers. They can only drive one chradder at a time, so what difference does it make how many they own?

Not unlimited. Imagine all the cowards that split after theyve killed you. They wouldnt have a long way to their safehouses. They would pretty much hide in apt before you respawn and can revenge yourself.

It boggles my mind as to how anyone would willingly want to be restricted in the amount of properties they can own, the less restrictions and limitations in an open world game, especially an online one, the better.

And they spend their playing time hiding inside, leaving me to continue playing. I fail to see how that's an issue.

I wont decide everything based on those who exploit the game, but I wont discount them either when weighing up a decision like that.
