LibertyKing
I am strongly against so-called justice. I don't understand why people always get released before time for "good behavior". Neither do I understand why accidental murder is a crime. I am against getting money from prosecutions, except if there is actual property damage. I also don't understand how the victim automatically becomes the criminal as soon as he/she gets revenge. I understand he killed a man. I understand this is a crime and yes, he should have been found guilty. But there is no reason to think the drunk driver is the victim there. The dad lost his children. And it was the other driver's fault. It was not just a murder, it was revenge. No one is able to pass through the death of their children easily. Children aren't supposed to die before their parents normally. So having to live the death of one's children, especially as young as 11-12 years old, is very difficult. The man needs therapy. A strong therapy. Not prison. He's not a psychopath (And even if he was, he would've been acquitted anyway). So, I think the dad shouldn't be imprisoned, but he needs a therapy. sivispacem
Neither do I understand why accidental murder is a crime. What the f*ck is an accidental murder? If it's accidental, it isn't murder. Causing death by negligent or criminal actions without intending to kill is manslaughter. Causing a death by accident if there's no argument of negligence or criminal action is just an accidental death. sivispacem
Fair enough, however the point still stands. I can't fathom how someone wouldn't consider manslaughter to be anything other than criminal, and accidental deaths by and large aren't. Fuzzknuckles
Just a quick lesson in how things are done, America: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-29015072 tl;dr: Man kills mugger who took his son's iPod, is now in prison. Scotland, you are better at justice than all of America. Bear in mind, this guy didn't kill his son. Just took his iPod. So there's a difference, a major difference, but nevertheless, it's murder and justice was served. People who kill people and aren't in the army... shouldn't get away with murder. It's just that simple. Sussus Amongus 1 Signatures are dumb anyway.

PoeticWhisper
"No sympathy for stupidity." Drunk driver may not have known it at the time what he was doing, but if he has had a history of being a blackout drunk then why the hell would he get behind the wheel? I hate the drunk argument. I don't care how intoxicated you are, it's your choice to drink. It's your choice to get in that car, and if you let others in your car and it's YOU who is putting lives at risk. I think drunk drivers who kill people in drunk driving accidents should be charged for murder. I don't want any white knights telling my I'm wrong either. Accidents happen, and I'm sure had that driver not been sh*t faced the dad would have not have done what he did. If you play russian roulette you can expect someone will eventually get the bullet. Vercetti27
A lot of thoughtless rubbish in this thread. The drunk driver committed a crime, but he like everyone has a family who care for him , so why should his family pay for his mistake? He killed people but he made an error of judgement, his family will never be able to visit him in prison, write a letter of speak to him again. It's barbaric and turns my stomach to see people defend murder because it just so happens the man who was murdered was involved in a drink driving incident. Really disappointing.
