How much money do you have and how did you earn it?

I played on PS3 for the first months of gta online but in January I made an Xbox guy (because the glitched money ruined my fun on ps3) and since then I got up to lvl 150 and 3.5 mill I know that's not impressive because most of you guys have 10+ mill and stuff so I was wondering how many of you guys are broke or insanely rich or if your honest or glitchers?

I've got around 700k. I'm on my 2nd character at level 70. For each character I've bought everything that I've wanted. For cars only performance upgrades. I've got a buzzard for both. For the original guy I bought a tank and regret it bc I used it once. That was a waste of a lot of money. I earned it all through missions/races/deathmatches. All of it legit EXCEPT during the "billionaire days" I was gifted millions or billions. I didn't want it so I created a second character and dumped the money there. Once they did the wipe that character was left with I think 500k. I did keep and use that.

 

I'm not trying to act holier than thou talking about how I don't want glitched or modded money. But that sh*t would ruin the game for me. A big part of what makes gtao so fun is that it takes time to make money. Fallout would have sucked if you had started the game with a Fat Man with unlimited nuclear bombs. Skyrim would have sucked if you started the game killing dragons with Auriels Bow(yes, I looked up the name).

 

If you glitch money, it makes no difference to me. You can play the game any way you like. But don't glitch millions and then come on this site complaining about how boring the game is. You made it boring for yourself, don't blame "cock* for bean lamez lol"

I don't think you know what 'legitimate' means.

 

I'd love to say all my money was legit but modders f*cked that up way back when they were dumping unwanted billions on randoms. At that point I'd earned something like $11mil overall, the majority of which came from jobs. At this point any current estimate is a wild stab in the dark due to the jacked up Social Club stats, courtesy of the aforementioned modders.

I'm a millionaire. I got that money from doing various criminal activities. Like delivering drugs/packages, killing people, stealing cars and racing. Shhh, don't tell anyone though or else I'll have to kill you.

Just around a million currently since I spent a TON on the new planes and chopper (skipped the car totally). Earn it all the time racing, missions, armored cars and selling/exporting cars. You know...the way the game intended you to make money. Making over $100K an hour is easy and adds up over time so that I can buy what I want when each new DLC is released.

Was down to $0 a month ago. That wasn't pleasant, so Lester's assassinations, bounties, racing / missions (solo), good behaviour, and 1 vehicle I didn't use sold. Not trying too hard but it's building nicely.

2.6 Million currently.

 

Some of it was from selling cars, robbing stores, bounties, Lester's Target etc. Most of it though was from missions, I've been enjoying doing missions more since the payout change.

 

I usually aim to earn about 100-200k everytime I play and that keeps me gaining a steady income ready for any new updates.

Not liking being punished for what someone else does, I jacked R* for about 50 mill over 2 characters and stopped worrying about money. Havent jacked money since and have actually earned my few million back. Dont regret it even slightly. Anyone who spends hours earning virtual money for virtual bells and whistles (hell they even take stuff back after you pay for it!!) is either crazy or has way to much time on their hands.

 

Maybe when (if) R* lives up to its promises and makes the game more than a "Hey look at the new stuff, give us your money!" venture, I will create a new character and go full legit. Course by the time that happens, I will have sold the game back to Gamestop.

switching up what you do to have fun is the best way to make money..

you forget you make money cuz your having fun...I average about 240k per time I play... doing crew TDM gets you about 53k in 10 minutes for me I do 3 crew challenges whenever I play... free roam murder people... then some random missions and have fun... this game is very easy to make money..

I mean playing 8 missions gets me around 112k...it's only hard if you spend your time complaining about it.. yesterday I made 400k in 1hr just TDM..

(we rarely lose).. sell ballers..play fun missions.. and if you have a crew.. to crew challenges and win.. we always wager the max at 10k.. if you got just a 6v6.. well you do the math... that's all I got..

I went from legit to exploits when the hooker glitch came about. I had zero cash and about half the cars I wanted. Game is coming up to a year old and is very stale for me, so I glitched enough to fill second char with twenty top end fully modded cars in order that when they release a dlc, I can just buy the stuff have a quick blast on it then shut it off again.

I'm past grinding to save up for whatever measly overpriced breadcrumbs they throw to us.

 

So, still no cash but about ten mill left in fancy motors waiting to be sold.
