Buying Car Garages with less space do you always keep your 20 spots?

So they say if you previously own a 10 car garage or 2 of them, and move to a 6 car or 2 car you still keep all of your vehicles with your mechanic when your new Garage has run out of room for them. What if you want to sell one of those vehicles later on? Do you still have 20 spots to fill in a smaller garage?

They patched it in 1.15 so you don't lose vehicles anymore, that's true.

 

Not sure whether you keep the 20 spots though.

 

I imagine so, can't see it going down 1 spot at a time if you sell vehicles, but check with R*, that's your best bet

If you want to sell one of the cars you have in the 'hidden' garage, call the mechanic and have it delivered. Then drive it into that same garage. It will prompt you saying you need to move a car to your other garage. It's not really going to your other garage, it's going into the 'hidden' spot where this car just was. But it does say your other garage for some reason.

 

Anyway, the car you want to sell is now stored in the visible portion of the garage, and you can sell it. The space it was in is now empty, the cars in the hidden garage remain hidden. You can now buy/steal a new car and put it in that open slot in the visible garage. Then you can call the mechanic to deliver the car that you just temporarily moved from the visible garage to the hidden garage and swap them again.

 

So now the new car is in the hidden garage where the car you sold originally was, and your visible garage has not changed.

 

Make sense? lol.

 

tldr; yes you can sell a car without losing a slot.
