How to make use of crew ranks

Right now crew ranks in GTA Online are useless. I think this should be changed by an interesting addition I thought of. I got this idea while I was playing Saints Row 3.

 

Say for every 10 crew levels you have you can recruit a NPC that will be added to a contact in your phone called crew backup or something like that. If you called them then they would show up in whatever car and follow you around helping you and the other crew members in gunfight or robbing stores, anything along the lines of that.

 

Depending on how long they have been in the crew, what guns you buy for them from ammunation and the ammount of kills they have they would get better and better. Once they got good enough you could send them out to do simple jobs like drug dealing or stealing cars for simion, basically low level player jobs.

 

I think that this could be a fun edition to GTA Online and give more purposes to crews and crew ranks. Tell me if you have any improvements or suggestions for this. Thanks for reading!

That would probably be too much for the current hardware, along the same lines as why there is no wildlife in MP. Nice idea, though...

Yah I know but we can always hope for additions like this on next-gen and pc.
