[SA]Removing fake plane contrails

I want to remove those ugly looking "contrails" that appear in the sky all over SA, im pretty sure it is a model since you can reach those things. Does anyone know the filename and where i can find it?

Nope, they aren't models, they are hard coded.

Try this CLEO:

Well i don't consider it a fix or anything, it's just personal preference, contrails look good if done right (GTA V for example) but in SA it's just that weird white line that's supposed to give the illusion of a plane. But yeah i wanted to post it in that thread just because im sure there are more people who may be interested in removing them.

Just like me !

 

I hope to find a better air traffic mod, that put some "life" on Airports and Sky of SA.

 

There are one or two out there...but they are too buggy !

 

All you have in vanilla game is some crazy airplanes doing insanities close to you...and suddenly disappearing some meters away...

 

...or those stupid white lines being drawn on sky. SA airports are like ghost towns...even vice-city one is better.

 

GTA-IV has an interesting Airport life as well.

I don't get why rockstar put those in the flyable area. Why don't they put those things higher where you can't reach them?

Yo, sorry for bumping this thread but i just noticed that the script removes only the plane lines , but the coronas still remain at night. Any way to remove them? Maybe some extra lines in the script?

0A8C: 0x7185B0 5 0x90 1		// NOP call to CPlaneTrails::Update
Either replace the other 0A8C or add it after, doesn't really matter

I didn't mean go in post it in the Birds Update thread as well. I said you could've posted it in the Birds Udpate thread, as it was more appropriate to your question, rather than hijacking someone elses thread.

Oh I'm so sorry, I think it could be better that my question will be in thread about Birds in SA. Maybe someone already ask for same question in that thread. But maybe for "no birds in SA" exists some code like cleo script. Anyway, okay. I understand.

Sorry for double posting, but the script that removes the birds is crashing the game, just so you know.

dunno what's the issue, try NOPing 5 at 0x71262A instead.

Instead of removing them (fake plane trails/coronas), why not moving them upward, outside of the height limit where you can't go? Or that is not possible?
