GTA V on next gen, what needs changing?

Mechanic sucked. He was broken. Driving away with people's cars and getting a wanted level for pulling him out the car. No thanks

- draw distance

- more cars, more nipples, more cats

- someone could actually put in some error handling code in so the game doesn't freeze when someone has a network glitch

- heists

- additional character body types and optional bras for female characters.

- ability to mark people as being annoying in Contact Missions

- ability to mark custom job as stupid then quit out


Also with the power of some consoles would it be possible to have quicker transitions between playable characters? That would sell it for me, being able to see what Trevor is doing in seconds without having to wait for it to load!

 

Yeah I'd hope for lower load times. The less time you spend waiting, the more time you're in the action, and the more fun you have as a result.

- Plastic surgery or whatever, basically at a certain level or whatever you can change the look of your character again. Or pay a fee to change your appearance. I've had tons of ideas for a new appearance, but my main character was just thrown together on Launch.

- Draw distance.

- More interiors, doesn't have to be extreme like the Mall as much as I'd like to see that, but I wouldn't mind the Cluckin' Bell being opened etc.

- Fitness, ability to be fat, skinny, muscled etc. Would ensure that all players don't look the same shape. I'd totally make Big Smoke.

- Snow, SNOW, SNOW!

I'm sure snow will be back next Christmas. It was on X360/PS3 last year.

That's probably true, but it should be a frequent event, it was awesome. I know LS is meant to be a mostly sunny place because that's what LA is like, but everything doesn't have to be super realistic.

... me and the other kid are talking about gta v being ported from Xbox 360/ps4 to xbone/ps4. All you said was the game for current gen was built from scratch. No it was not. Do try to let other members know you're talking about pc, codes and other sh*t from within your bubble.

I am 99 % sure that we will get a cockpit perspective for cars,if you look closely in the trailer you see that the interior for Michael's and Franklin's car is very detailed,but maybe thats just next gen lol

 

I would love new islands and that you can customize the face of your GTA O character at any time.

And it should be much more detailed,like that you can actually decide on your own how big the nose is etc. On old/current gen nealry all chracters look the same.

I can think of a vast amount of improvements that will make next get GTA 5 a great game, They are:

 

- Increased rendering distance, No more having to snipe someone from 3 blocks away.

- Removed speed cap, The one I'm most concerned about, Barely any of my cars can reach their true potential yet.

- More NPC's, hopefully smarter aswell. There's never any cars about at 8 in the morning, Everyone's supposed to be going to work and the streets are like a ghost town.

- Better weather, Rain on last gen (360 and PS3) isn't detailed enough.

- Better sunlight and moonlight, At night particularly during street racing it doesn't really feel like night it's not dark enough, there's not enough light reflecting off of the pavement and the streetlights are like torches on Minecraft.

- Police will most likely be made smarter but also stupider at the realistic times when it's needed i.e cops will know where to look for you if your speeding down the street after shooting 5 people but they won't be able to find you if you shoot someone with a silenced pistol and then go park in a dark alley with your lights and radio turned off.

- Hopefully betting will be fixed. I'm tired of betting 2.5k on myself to win, Winning and somehow losing it all.

 

I'm hoping to see all of those but this is the new R* so I guess I shouldn't get my jopes up too much.

 

Edit: - Cockpit/1st person view for cars and the ability to restict the viewing style during races. So we can finally see if the trolls and kiddies are as good as they claim to be when they can't see what's right beside them :lol:.

For the most part, sound effects in this game are pretty spot on. But a big gripe I have is the gun sounds. They just don't sound like they should. Before GTA V came out, I thought the gunshots in this game would be loud and realistic. But they aren't. There are a couple of guns that sound alright, but most sound crap. There is no excuse for it. Movies and some other games have loud, powerful gunfire effects that sound just like the real deal. So why doesn't GTA V? A game that has been worked on for at least 5 years? After all the effort and detail they put into the game, why did they fail to deliver on gunfire effects? For a game that has gunfights as a major component, it just doesn't make sense.

I couldn't agree with this more!

 

Payday 2 has THE most realistic sounds for guns I've ever heard on a game.

 

Every other game makes gun sounds too dramatic. Guns are dramatic in their own sense. Capturing the actual elements of what a gun sounds like in, and outside accurately helps for a very, very intense experience. You can become more immersed in the game with simple things like that.

We all know by now that this isn't just a HD remaster, so what could be done better on next gen consoles?

 

Personally i'd like to see online have a bit more depth to it (animals etc.) But I reckon rockstar will probably revamp the online completely on next gen so who knows?

 

Also with the power of some consoles would it be possible to have quicker transitions between playable characters? That would sell it for me, being able to see what Trevor is doing in seconds without having to wait for it to load!

I think when you get 5 stars you should get the army after you. So you get jets and stuff after you and cargobobs come and deliver army soldiers and drop tanks, like in the SP mission when they rob blaine county savings

I don't know why people think they're remaking the game for PS4/One, the game is already made...this is an HD port, nothing more...

 

...and even if EVERYONE buys one for their PS4 AND XBox One, they will be 20 million copies short of what ha sold on PS3/360...people that have stopped playing altogether aren't going to buy a new copy and people who just won't rebuy the game for HD...

 

...and the majority of players will always be on PS3/360

 

...only politicians cater to the minority

Trolling much??? They already announced they have started over in a press interview and if you looked at the trailer you can see this isnt a remastered game its all been re done be it still having the same base structure but completely new from there up

Hopefully less magic houdini cars that vanish the second you try to enter them. Also rush hour downtown L.A not being ghost town would be nice.

Nipple reduction was probably so soccer moms didn't freak out when their 12 year old was hanging in the strip club with his mates giggling about tities.

The only real possible logic I can come up with was to avoid boys/men from gathering in strip clubs and making a deal out of it.

Either to avoid offending the mom's who buy their underage playing children cash cards, or female gamers.

 

I rolled my eyes a bit when I found out. I also noticed they made the female characters in the game have blue nipples - perhaps to discourage modders etc from running around like that?

But that's what I'm talking about. The gun sound effects in this game aren't "too dramatic". If anything, they aren't dramatic enough. Take the Carbine or the Heavy Sniper. Both powerful weapons in real life and in-game, yet their sound effects may as well come from a .22 calibre round. It's pathetic. The gun effects don't have to be anything fancy. Just a loud, sharp bang would be spot on. Just like it is in real life.

What should be a basic expectation.

 

Better graphics

Better draw distance.

Smoother gameplay.

Shorter loading times.

Better character builder.

More Cars on the road, no more walking out to a ghost town.

 

What would be nice.

 

Animals.

The ability to customise your apartment, pool table, darts and being able to change the look to make it more personal.

Better Police, as stated earlier, different reactions depending on star level.

More skill allowed. For instance if I'm trying to out run the police, don't make NPC turn into suicide drivers who delibratley turn into me for no reason, If I have four stars and I'm in a jet don't spawn a helicopter right in front of me just as I'm about to lose my wanted level. It's a cheap trick to make the game harder that turns a skill game into a luck game.

More golf courses(yes I'm one of the few who like the golf lol)

More to do in the water, it's very underused, there's very little reason to have a boat or grab the sub.

 

Theres probably a ton more but that'll do for now.

Better car performance

1st person view in cars and on foot

Manual transmission
More life (npcs, cars, animals etc)
Fix alot of bugs
Major general graphics overhaul

We even have the cans to protect our ears. Useless & only good as a fashion accessory!
