The Coil Voltic Sports Car

Awesome vehicle.

-Great acceleration. Easy to recover when you've made a mistake and spun out because you hit another car.

-Half-decent top speed. It's still a super car but it comes nowhere near the other ones. Then again, nobody buys this for races.

-Excellent manouverability. It's a small and very responsive car, great for missions, namely in the city.

-Silent as the breeze! Stealth is not really a big part of the game and people will notice a super car with a nasty paintjob, but they won't HEAR you coming, at least. And it's kind of refreshing to be in a car that doesn't sound like it's going to eat everything it comes into contact with.

-Limited customisation. Speaks for itself, one front bumper, one custom skirts option, one spoiler, carbon or painted.

 

Don't get me wrong, I still love my Zentorno. But the Voltic that I got for my other character, is SO MUCH FUN.

Wonderful free roam car. Its competitive in races that require a lot of maneuvering, but that's a hard find these days.

 

Also for all you people trying to buy a Voltic with a coloured roof, trying buying the roofless version in the rain. I've gotten mine that way.

Top speed is sh*te and its light as hell so you get airborne quickly, still a nice car and great for small technical tracks where accelerating out of a corner is needed. But most tracks have huge straights and jumps so I would recommend a turismo, best super all rounder for its price.

 

Do not lower the turismo!

Only issue is how light it is, it can get knocked around VERY easy if ur not a conscientious driver so those high curbs and lampposts can be death.........

one of the best cars for a decent driver do buy!!!

Hey guys, I was curious as to how many people like the looks and the way the Voltic drives? I've seen it out and about Los Santos and have always thought it looked quite nice and it drives pretty well for the price of $150k.

 

Thoughts, opinions and would you buy it?

Its one of the more fun, unique feeling cars but as others have said... dont bother racing expecting to win against competent opponents. I feel like it can look pretty good but you have to work with it to make it look good. Not like say the new corvette which looks amazing in any color

Had it very early on, didn't like it and sold it. Bought it again recently, liked it even less. The looks are fine, but electric engine completely demolishes its personality. They should've just gone full Lotus Elise and put it in sports class.

Voltic used to be my solo rr car,still use it for free roam.Very light but can be mastered.

I have one on my first character, it's okay, but out of those 20 cars it would be first to go if I wanted something else. Compared to other stock cars, the acceleration is great, probably the best, but once you put turbo on other cars and do all the other upgrades, the voltic just can't hang anymore. The lack of turbo kills it. It is cool to try and sneak up on someone in one though, the thing is almost silent.

 

You can get it with a painted roof, still. It took me six tries to get one, but you can do it.

Edit: Also, is there a lot of hate for two-tone? I can almost never bear to drive a car that I can't two-tone, the few exceptions being motorcycles, and my lovely Khamelion. Think I might nab this for my secondary character.

People seem to forget that not everybody are stocking their garage with the best of the best cars for racing, They just want cars to cruise around in and don't care how fast it goes they just want to know if it's a nice decent car and worth the money you put into it.

 

OP Test it out in Story Mode and see if you like it there before buying it online

I have a topless one because I love its handling, engine sound, and acceleration. My only problem with it is that after it takes a load of damage, the back pops up randomly and flings the car all over the place if you're going at high speeds.

 

If not for that, it'd be my primary vehicle.

I traded my topless for a colored roof model.

 

Not sure if this helps, but I bought the topless version then roofed from Legendary while it was raining. The topless remained topless. I then got the colored roof first try while in the rain.

Dude, no. I suck, I admit I suck. I fly, I'm not that great of a racer. Endurance tracks? Those I can handle, this random as zippity doodah sh*t that's 99% of racers on GTA:O, I can't handle. You just can't drive. Panto is top-tier compact.

It's pretty good for cruising, but not so much for racing unless you're a very good driver. It's just because everyone else is going to choose a Zentorno or an Adder. I remember doing the Charles/iFruit method to put turbo on it. It went way quicker than usual, but still can't compete with the "higher-end" cars.

Placebo effect. The turbo doesn't stick once you get the car in game.

I miss my voltic with turbo. The reverse was crazy fast and funny for killing other players thanks to its bulletproof rare end.

The Voltic isn't bulletproof. I read on here a while back that it was so I bought one and had a crew member get behind me and try to kill me to test it out and I died instantly. I don't know where the bulletproof rear end came from on the Voltic but its a lie.

 

As far as the topic goes its up to the OP to make the ultimate choice but IMO the Voltic sucks. I've owned every super car in this game at one point or another and the Voltic was easily my least favorite. It has great acceleration but that is it. The handling is horrendous, it is way too light and gets airborne way too easy whenever you hit even the smallest bump in the road.

 

Get yourself a Bullet if you want a lower tier super cars. The Bullet is slow but it is actually bulletproof unlike the Voltic and is fun to drive and I personally think it looks ten times better than the Voltic.
