I think Chinese music would be a great addition to Grand Theft Auto Online. Even before GTA V, Rockstar has been adding non-English music to its Grand Theft Auto games. Plus, in real life, Los Angeles has a large number of Asians, so I think a Chinese music station would fit right into Los Santos.

 

Below are two songs that would make good candidates for inclusion into GTA Online:

After playing Sleeping Dogs, I think that GTA would benefit from a new chinese station.

I feel it would be cool if it was localised ambient music in certain areas, say the interior of a Chinese restaurant. It wouldn't really make sense to have it playing on the American airwaves, the most multicultural you get is East Los FM because latinos are far more prevalent in the game.

I'm sorry, but from what I've seen, there's only 4 consistent Asians in the games. The Chengs, the translator, and one of the store clerks. It'd make more sense in LC. Chinatown, Triads and what not, but not in LS, not in GTA:O, right now.

Those songs are horrible.

I love Sleeping Dogs and the whole chinese thing. Exploration, learning about a culture. I even got myself a CD that's only new year celebration songs in Chinese (what you typically hear when walking around in Sleeping Dogs markets - only instrumental stuff). Would it work for GTA? Not really. In the least it could work in Worldwide FM. It would only work if R* make fun of the Chinese. East Los FM works perfectly because they're making fun of Americans & Immigrants (usually Mexicans), which both fit nicely with one another.

If this game included San Fierro, then it'd make sense for a Chinese station to be included. There isn't enough Chinese influence in this game other than the advertisements, in-mission jokes, and Wei Cheng's Triad gang.

I prefer some chinese instrumental radio to be added.

 

Hopefully in they have more chinese theme in Story DLC. Maybe we play as the retainers of Cheng clan to take Trevor Philips Enterprise down and kill Ron.

 

It's time for Rockstar to approach more towards eastern culture. I like the fact that Wei Cheng's men are voiced by real chinese and speaking mandarin in the game.

I prefer traditional Chinese music like in GTA Chinatown Wars. Chinese modern music is horrible.

Absolutely not. At least not yet. I am all for that idea if they actually put a lot more music in the game in general. The game lacks English music as it is. Spanish makes sense seeing how road signs in California are also in Spanish. So as far as realism goes, adding Chinese is a ways off.

 

Note: I am not against it. I think more is good and so is diversity. I also think people need to understand the game is already made. All the expansions, DLC, promos, etc are already made. So asking them to add something never put in the game is a far stretch. They tend to only fix game breaking or in the case of R*, glitches that don't harm anyone.

lol, I am chinese too, but I still dont want chinese song (from either Taiwai, Hong Kong, or PRC) in the game

but I dont mine some K-pop like girl generation stuff in the game, licence will be f*cking expensive anyway

tbh, no one gives a sh*t about music. GTA isn't about music. If you want to listen to music then go to YouTube and listen to it while your playing. I dont know why so many people are obsessed with new music coming into the game when you can just listen to music on YouTube. Music is the very last thing we need at the moment
