Changing your combat stance?

Is there any way to change the way you hold your gun in the game?

I ask because it's happened to me before. I was in a Deathmatch using a pistol, and instead of the two handed tactical grip my character held the gun out to his side and aimed with one hand. Not sure how the hell it happened, but I want it back.

I wish. Essentially it works like this: when a male avatar begins a death match or whatever, his combat stance is Trevor's. once you die, it'll revert back to normal.

I don't know if there is a way but I know it wouldn't be hard to add to the game. Male animations come from Michael's animation. It wouldn't be hard to let the player choose between Michael, Trevor or Franklin animations. Female would be a bit harder. If it wasn't a glitch, it sounds like your character was doing Trevor or Franklin's pistol stance/walk.

I would like the San Andreas one handed gun stance where you could shoot your gun sideways and instead of turning your whole body you just turned the head and the arm.

It would definitely be nice to have a choice. The sideways gun (SA style) would be nice for some character.

I want to shoot my pistol with one hand like a BAMF, like how Aiden Pearce does it in Watch Dogs.

BTW San Andreas had a drive-by animation which let you hang out the window and sit on the door. Wish it was in GTAV. Maybe next gen.

But thats what its forMaybe on TV and in the movies. If you fire from the hip IRL your only realistic chance of hitting your target is blind luck.

Yeah, it seems more accurate when you bring it closer the your head (you can do this by aiming over a car roof or cover).

Ever see a cop or soldier fire a handgun that way? It might add character, but the trade-off is any form of accuracy whatsoever.

The only upside to this trope is that one day, a dude who tries to shoot me uses this 'stance' and thus misses every shot, allowing me to run away.

Don't speak down to me about firearm etiquette. This is a videogame where the police shoot petty thievery suspects on sight, it isn't out of the question for someone to shoot a gun incorrectly. I wasn't even the one to suggest gangster style shooting.

If you dont put sights on them (mg) they fire from hip. Same for micro smg.

Just hittin R2 with a pistol should be fired with one hand, then once L2 is pressed, they use two. Other animations with the other weapons as well.

Paratroopers, infantrymen, it's a Military weapon.

I'm disappointed we can't use it on chopper bikes.

As portrayed on TV and movies.

I'm sure some idiots back then fired from the hip just like how some idiots today shoot a pistol sideways. If they knew what they were doing and actually wanted to hit their target I'm fairly positive they put the butt on their shoulder and aimed down the sights. I can't be 100% positive because I wasn't there but I have enough experience with firearms to know first hand if you fire anything but a shotgun from the hip you are lucky to even get close to where you are aiming and even with a shotgun after 10-20 feet firing from the hip is also pure luck.

I'm really hoping that in the future you can choose your own animations. Before GTA online I was already hoping that we got to choose our own bank and phone. But somehow we all got the same.

I don't want an Ifruit....
