Things That We No Longer See and Miss

Well it's been almost 1 year since GTA Online launched. The online community has changed quite a bit since those early days (both good and bad). What are some of the things (non-mod related like Billionaire give-a-ways) that we used to see that simply aren't around anymore or you rarely see and miss.

 

For me, one of the things is the BMX bikers at the ramp in downtown. Always took the time to stop and watch the random players doing their tricks. Unfortunately there was always some azzhat who knew they were an easy target and would shoot the bikers up. I haven't seen anyone doing tricks in a public lobby in months. I guess they do invite-only now.

 

Another thing is doing team missions in a public lobby. I remember the first few days of GTA Online where I thought it was super-fun to play team missions and race all over the map to capture some drugs or whatever against another group of players. No one does these anymore.

 

What else is gone, but not forgotten . . . . ??

I too miss Johnny on the spot.

As of 1.16, the original washed-out pink parachute bag - replaced by the much slicker-looking 'classic' blue/black/white one (basically the same as the floating one you can pick up, but still...

Wonder if people actually even noticed the change, there.

The simple SP2MP in early 1.15.

We had a local crew put together, and we'd talk and meet up online - but all the network errors and glitches, most of them ran off saying "I'll come back when heists is released" - as a result I think I'm the only one left who plays regularly so ended up switching to a generic crew.

 

I also miss Quick Restart, it did make grinding fun because you were always in action (although I'm enjoying them again thanks to payout changes).

 

Also noticed much less people using the mic to work together in missions, and an increase in children.

The mission dupe glitch prior to early November. I remember a guy hosting a lobby where he brought out the original Franklin's Buffalo (all chrome with EXPLOITS on the license plate and red tire smoke) and the Space Docker. Guys were fighting to get into the passenger seat to start the mission. Sometimes turned into chaos but it was still somewhat exciting to get a vehicle that you couldn't get otherwise.

I missed the days when there were no such thing as tankers and how the game used to be about fun instead of money. I remember a live stream during the winter update, no killing just talking about the snow and playing around with jets. I was in it and we did races that were set up to 10 laps, doing death matches with grenades. Those were the days

Yes, back in the days before my (real life) mate sold his copy and his console to get the new ones and the rest of my mates just ditched becuase money was to hard to comeby, however, I think that the vastly unexplored map was what made me and mates have such a great time.

Back when doing missions and jobs were fun. 1.06 killed online imo. They have made it a job to make money in this game you cant have fun anymore when you dont make enough money to buy awesome new content.

storable police vehicles and such shoud return in my opinion, as long as they cant be modded with anything more then Insurance, bombs and maybe things like bullet proof tires and tinted windows

personaly, i woud not get one, but sure, i dont get why they removed that option....i mean, for balancing in races ok, but one simple change and they can make a simple category called "emergency vehicles"

same with pulling out vehicles from missions....never realy used that option, but again, why remove it ?

also i realy want to make a mission playlist but that is not possible ?

sometimes i realy think atleast one of the guys working at rockstar had a screw loose or the direction is just to hungry for money from cashcards.

R* just suck the joy out of everything, none of those things were harming anyone. But heeey R* cant let us have fun now can they. Instead they replace this stuff with sh*tty DLC's like the flight school update

I mean come on.. why did he have to go? I hate the new spawn system, always puts my car what feels like a mile away, and sometimes the other side of a busy road so you have dodge cars to get to it and hope not to get hit!
