I was in a public lobby last night, and had all my weapons taken away, and my car speed had a "speed cap" on it. Multiple UFOs in the lobby, and one guy dressed as a bus, a plane, two helicopters, a wind mill, and a radio tower, all in one.....

is this more a PS3 thing cause i've been playing the game since oct and never ran into a modder/hacker ever (except the billionaire days).

as far as i know and as a person that get attacked by modders on a daily basis, i can confirm that money/rp drain do exist but wont stick!

 

switch server and your rank and money is back, just like when they use the "remove weapons" you get all your weapons back when you switch session.

Ughhh reporting a modder does nothing majority of modders are using a spoofed cid not to mention a throw away account which takes approx. 2 minutes to remake. Ontop of ALL that there's a mod to get out of bs instantly. I can make a New account with every achievement unlocked every skill maxxed and any cars/weapons/clothing in the time it takes gta to load a mission. just change sessions and move on with life.

 

I want to add the only mod i use in public lobbies is police turned off. I end up helping most of the lobby with cars or money or getting rid of someone in god mode. Not all modders are douchebags some of us just like messing around with friends and crew members.

I suspect that's why hackers seem to be less of an issue on XBL.

Do you have any proof? If not, then I'm calling bullish*t. Everyone's game save data is saved onto the cloud, these stats cannot be edited without hacking into the cloud server.

That may be, but the cloud save data is directly influenced by your interactions in sessions, which includes earning/spending and picking up/dropping money (i.e. upon death). There've already been instances where hackers/modders made people pay in excess of 100k for insurance. I wouldn't automatically panic over this, but I'd advise keeping a sharp eye nonetheless.

I always wanted to play this but I don't have a 360 :c
