Some (not even all) of these activities being implemented in either a future update or DLC would totally change my opinion of the game. These are the things most people wanted, not sports.

If rockstar adds any new activities they will be online only. There will be nothing for SP from here on out. That's the kind of garbage company they have become going from an elite developer to bottom feeder.

If only next-gen would add most of that stuff. And they have no f*cking excuse in the world not to add these in next-gen.

Yes they do kinda have a very legitimate excuse. You see, most of these if not all were not scrapped because of limitations, but because of time, Rockstar admited most of the stuff that got cut was because they realized there wasn't enough time to flesh them out properly

Considering that, imagine the riots people on the last gen would start because they essentially bought an unfinished product quite literally.

If they relase them, they will either do it on all systems or none at all.

So you're not aware of the upcoming SP story update and all that, then?

Onwhiners are driving me nuts today.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

What makes you think there will actually be a SP story update? They outright lied about Flight School missions being for SP so why wouldn't they cancel the SP story DLC and transfer all its content to online only? They only care about their precious online and they seem to have no trouble lying and using bait and switch tactics to rob Single-Player of much needed content.

You're welcome to believe that, but I feel you're wrong. A company like R* would not turn it's back on SP completely, their games are built on that foundation.

You'll notice that Online was free with GTA V, not the other way around.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

Well technically online mode was free but they have masterfully crafted the online economy so that you need to buy their sharkcards in order to avoid being stuck in a cycle of endless grinding. That's also why I believe Heists keep getting delayed - the payouts that the online gaming community demands would nullify the need to buy sharkcards.

So to keep it simple: Heists and a good beefy Story DLC would threaten the sharkcard operation and the bottom feeders can't have that!

I've been playing online for ages, amassed millions of dollars (and spent them) and I've been playing the majority of missions and races just once... and on my own. And I have never once considered buying a Sharkcard.

I notice it's mainly people that don't or won't play online that still believe the completely optional sharkcards are a problem.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

Rockstar already said they have some exciting new story DLC coming. Rockstar would NEVER just abandon the SP cuz they know there's alot of ppl who dont play online too n they will reach out to them as well

No point in really bitching about it now. The fact that most of these are styled like GTA IV can pretty much show none of these ever saw the light of day.

WOW!

how much money do you think we will have to pay for the things that should have been in the game originally like restaurants and comedy clubs?

These icons are still in a similar style to GTA IV meaning these were in early development. They were cut for a reason. And seriously why are people still bitching about the restaurants and interiors, these things are completely superfluous to the game and should be thought of as extra detail not a given that should always be there.

Because San Andreas had these things TEN years ago. Shouldn't we be getting progressively better content and more interiors a decade latter with more advanced tech? I mean rockstar is taking a one step forward in graphics, two steps backwards in terms of content and interiors approach in the here and now. Doesn't make alot of sense.

It doesn't make sense that people can't understand a sequel doesn't have to have the same features as its predecessors.

This game had sooooooooooooooooooooo much potential that got wasted

These are very, very, very, old, old, old, old, old, old... old. icons. Doubt that anything from there will be in a DLC anytime soon. Note that all of these are GTA IV style icons.

They got updated with V style icons.

That's because they obviously had to update them. Not much from this list has made it into final version though. Only missions and side stuff we have now (and also there is an unused comedy club)

They were updated in patch 1.16.

The only blips that were updated for patch 1.16 was this:

blips_texturesheet_2.png

All of this below was in the game since day 1.

blips_texturesheet.png

Very interesting, indeed. Wonder what that key symbol is, that castle symbol or the recycling symbol. :/ At least these are V- style icons.

Most of these features like purchasable safehouses, restaurant interiors, gang wars, pool, basketball, and the rest of new ones that those icons displayed are very popular and in high demand among the GTA fanbase so why in the world would rockstar cut them?

People are still bitching because after finishing the missions and looking for things to do, it becomes fully apparent that the city is basically a big facade with no real substance. It needs more interactivity.

The castle is an icon for Online Gang Attacks. Originally, Gang Attacks could be activated on the map like any other job. No idea what the recycling symbol or key symbol are, but I think it might be for Online, judging by the size of them and their location on the texture sheet.

There's that "Just because (insert earlier installment in the series here) had it" argument. Seriously, people are focusing more on what was removed to the point where they ignore what was added. And as I said, just because SA had something doesn't mean it should be in every future installment. Restaurants and interiors are nice things to have but they are not groundbreaking gameplay advancements like the freedom GTA 1 had or the 3D perspective GTA III added or even the real time character switching GTA V had. These things are completely superfluous and honestly not that important but people scream bloody murder due to their omission.

Interiors in fact are important because they make the city more interactive and immersive, you know a truly living breathing open world experience. In SP you are the OWNER of a business and you cannot even enter it, what the hell?

Purchasable Safehouses - All three protagonists are billionaires at the end of the game, but we cannot buy luxury homes and seaside mansions. Does not jive with the whole "pursuit of the almighty dollar" theme of V.

Leftover stuff from GTA IV. The same thing happened with GTA IV, it has San Andreas files in the game.

At the risk of sounding like all the "they personally owed me to fit in every idea they had regardless of file space, time to release, and working out bugs!" chatter, I was actually wondering this myself. TLatD and BoGT both added unique activities from IV in addition to their missions, and the only comment I've seen from Rockstar is that they're striving to make the next Next Gen even more than we're expecting.

I think working out issues with Online Heists is their primary focus right now with potential cheating, multiple players on the session, and any bugs with this, since this is the biggest gripe people seem to have. But after that, whether it comes before or with the Next Gen release, I fully expect to see the SP DLC released with some additional activities for us. We don't know what some of these activities would have played out like if it was a legit leak, but hopefully they have time to implement that ones that'd work well and be fun. I was hoping for basketball, some personally plannable and redoable (after a period of time) heists, casinos, and surfing.

But I will personally be happy and confident with any new activities they throw in for us though!

I'm personally getting sick and tired of Rockstar not telling us anything about the game. at least give us something new to talk about so we're not rehashing old topics or making up boring topics

Well that's their fault. Wait- before any of you flame me, just read on.

If they wouldn't have held information and trailers back from us, the fans, for months and months and months, they wouldn't have had to rush the game. If you consistently give out at least a bit of info each month or so, you'll have calmer fans. But no they just teased us and then left us in info droughts, waiting and becoming so desperate that we analyzed every comment made in the Newswire by someone at Rockstar. What made it even worse was launching release dates too early. Remember Spring 2014 back in October 2012? And it never happened, they had to delay it. Which inevitably only made the majority of fans angry. This forum was teaming with hate January the 31st in 2013.
