Rockstar Vienna

Its very nice to see how many people like L.A Noire better than RDR. :^:

So far... 2? ^^

Nothing against L.A. Noire! ;)

Include me too. Any probably many others behind the scenes.

Yeah, fair enough! A shame what happened to Team Bondi...

Red Dead Redemption, no contest.

Followed by LA Noire and Bully.

Never played Max Payne

I never got around to playing Bully - might have to go back and catch up sometime.

I love RDR, next to GTAO that's the R* game I've sunk the most time into. LA Noire was really good but I felt the ending was a bit disconnected from the rest of the game (which I loved as it was a huge change of pace from everything else I was playing at the time).

Though the one I keep hoping they'll re-release on current gen is The Warriors. Great atmosphere and likeness to the movie it's based on. I actually think I prefer the game to the film.

RDR, Max Payne 3, and Manhunt are my favorites. RDR is their best crafted game in all honesty.

So much wrong in this thread...

rockstar_table_tennis_box.gif51ozoETqzYL._AC_UL320_SR226,320_.jpg

Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis or R*TT for short, is the crowning jewel in R*'s portfolio.

I mean, like c'mon...

Max Payne 2

With it's film noir vibe, from dialogue to presentation, everything was spot on and got me hooked in. Also great atmosphere and great soundtrack.

Max Payne 3. The first two are a classic, and I really love them, but the gameplay in MP3 is just too perfect. Rockstar need to keep making games with this top quality gameplay.
And to this day the game aged pretty pretty well (its not that old though but still).

Tough question

Red Dead Redemption Max Payne 3 & L.A Noire are all fantastic games with very strong narratives, on the flipside The Warriors was a brilliant prequel to my favourite movie.

With that said I'm going to give it to Bully, I just adore that game so much it's just such a unique experience truly only a game Rockstar could pull off.

The story & characters, the extremely funny writing, the atmosphere, and not to mention the score (which is the best I've seen in a video game) everything is outstanding, a fun unique & charming experience.

When I was reading the title of this topic I just straight away thought about Bully. I played that game few years ago and it was really good.

Sunrise Driver

Max Payne 1 is not a R* game. It is developed by Remedy Entertainment.

This is a very wrong thing to assume. Both Rockstar Canada - the former name of Rockstar Toronto, which also worked on Oni under that same name - and Remedy worked on it. Just read the game's credits, and you'll see that Rockstar Canada employees are credited as "Project Leader", "Lead Programming", "Programming", "Additional Programming", "Art Direction", "Animation", "Art", "Music", "Lead Level Editor", "Level Editors", "Lead Q/A" and "Q/A".

Furthermore,

's an Easter egg (known as "R* Thanks") in which there's a recorded phone call between a Rockstar Games and Remedy where they talk about how amazing has been to work together on the game, thanking each other, and that they are looking forward to working together again (Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne).

Nope, no mention of R* Canada in credits.

Nothing against L.A. Noire! ;)

In this thread we can't really count that.

I prefer LA Noire too

P.S. People should clarify what "RDR" means and what game they like - Revolver or Redemption.

The original Max Payne and Red Dead Redemption come to my mind when you say non GTA titles made by Rockstar.

The Dedito Gae

My list in order:

Red Dead Redemption

Best protag in gaming, heartfelt story, awesome map, great characters and fun gameplay, it even had a zombie DLC, there's nothing more i can ask. Already became one of my favorite games alongside GTA IV and Batman Arkham City.

Bully

Great combat, fun characters and... f*ck it, i'll just say it, game is adorable! I just can't not love everything about this. Is like the Simpsons meets the Goonies meets a Steven Seagal movie.

Manhunt

Chilling, gritty and brutal as f*ck, unbeatable atmosphere, just do what the intro says and turn the lights off when playing the game, you'll understand.

Red Dead Redemption. Not only is it the best R* game, but it's also the best game of all time.

Red-Dead-Redemption-Bonus-Outfit-Voting-

You couldn't have said it better.

"Come on all that bear wanted was a cuddle. "

As for bully. It was a pointless game with a leak storyline.

However I've never played manhunt.

:p

Bully

one of the most enjoyable and fun games I have ever played - in my opinion it is also Rockstars most original game. (Why isn't this in the first post!?)

Red Dead Redemption

puts every other open world game to shame - I enjoyed this by miles more than any recent Grand Theft Auto.

i dont get why non gta is part of the question, as previously mentioned red dead redemption was and remains rockstars peak in every concievable way, its probably the best game ever made

if you argue in favour of a gta being the best rockstar game, which one? like theres no definitive gta, gta 4 was probably the all round best and critically most well recieved but rdr is better than it in every way, gta 5 obviously fell short of being rockstars best, what other gta could it be? SA? its great but rockstar pushed the bounds much further with the games after it so idk

rdr was just excellent, truly superb, the absolute pinacle of video gaming
